I can't remember where I heard this, but it's worked for me. If you get a song stuck in your head, you only need to 'hear' it thru to completion. It
keeps repeating because your mind never finishes it, and hence doesn't get closure... so you play it again in your head, the same excerpt, or maybe a
bit more. But maybe you don't remember all of the words, so you keep repeating just pieces of it, and you will keep doing so until you finish it!!
That said, here's a song I don't mind hearing more than once, and the video is amazing and charmingly retro:
Nice. I haven't heard that one in a while - the overhead "soundtrack" at work is Nashville stuff, but for a couple years we had this sort of stuff,
pop classics from the 60s and up. I'll see if I can change it tomorrow. We need a new "mood" around there anyway.
We got a new sound system and haven't had a chance to master it yet.
