When I was in 6th grade, our teacher gave us two projects to do. One was to paint a VW van in psychedelic colors and 60s paisleyesque stuff, and the other was an "allegory" that we put on....a stage show in costumes and everything, a choreographed dance show.....and the Peer Gynt Suite was our music.

I'll never forget it. Mrs O'Brien at Centennial Elementary in Lawrence, Kansas.

Years ago i heard someone singing on the Jools Holland Show here in the UK, but unfortunately never caught their name.

Their voice was very unique, and for years i tried to find out who it was, but no luck. Then yesterday a neighbour who moved in next door a year ago said she loved a singer in a band called Anthony and the Johnsons....so i checked them out and low and behold, it's the singer i've been searching for for years!

A haunting voice, some of her songs can reduce you to tears....
