I have a general question here that could be helpful to ask out in advance?

What is the proper way to address our guest? Is it Mr. Ventura or is it Former Governor or Governor?

It's a technical thing, but I've not had the situation come up yet where I've actually had to give it thought. It just occurred to me, as a man of many hats in his life, it may not be as clear as it would be for most folks?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe his title is Governor.

I doubt if he'd mind "Dude" or "Bro". Seems like a down to earth guy.

Several snarky "beezzer-like" names and thoughts have zipped through my little brain like pay raises through congress.

But I will hold my tongue because this is important and way above the gutter-level humor I usually indulge in.

I will remain respectful, because I am really curious as to his responses with ATS.

Beezzer, Wrabbit2000

I'd call him "Jesse" and ask him if he is ok with that. Unless you want him to call you Mr. Beezzer and Mr. Wrabbit2000. , or Mister Mod.

I'll be respectful too, I just don't think he'd mind a familiar tone.

Being the sort of person I am, I would call him Governor or Mr. Ventura....just out of respect.

He did good as a governor - IMHO.
I didn't even think of him for an AMA session. It's a nice surprise.

Okay.. I have an idea. I'm going up to turn in my time sheet at the campus in a short time and while I'm up there, I'll ask our long term media vet and director of college media relations. He'll know the "AP Style" approved way of saying it.

I'm sure I think more technical on some of this than is needed, but I can't help it.

I think that Gov. Would be the proper way.

But how cool it would be if he said "just call me Capt. Freedom"

I'm sure this has been said before but can you ask that he hits the quote button instead of reply? I basically just skip the AMAs after a few pages because it's a pain clicking on the link and going back and forth.

Also awesome job! This one should be very interesting.

I agree!
However he can do what ever he wants as far as I'm concerned. I'll read regardless of how he replies , it just makes it an easier format to follow.

Now to get my question ready , hmmm...

Well, I want to believe he is one of us, a brother. Calling him brother is respectful.

I think that Mr. Ventura would be good with any of the salutations. But the most respectful of them would be to address him as Governor, or Mr. if your not comfortable with that.

I myself would not call him Jesse unless I knew him personally. Though I do say Jesse Ventura during conversations with others about him.

It should be a interesting read next week. And I agree with those who want a quote reply so I'm not clicking all over the place when he replies to a question.
