I don't have monkey ancestors, I have human ancestors. I think this is a very funny picture. If you search for racism in it I guess you will find it though. I don't get the racism though. Nobama is only part black and what does that have to do with gorilla faces ? I took it as insinuating that the Nobamas are dumb and do what they are told like zoo monkeys. Not defending this, but Belgium and other parts don't have the sensitivities we Americans have on such topics. I am in quite constant casual conversation with many people from different European countries, and they just don't see the big deal. Many of them would look at this and just think it's funny, without a ounce of racist thought behind it.

Why are you offended by this ?

What kind of president requires spending 10 MILLION Euros on his personal safety? That is just one half of the trip, the other half cost as much from the US side.

Not only that, look at what the people in the countries the US President et al visit have to live with (I have experienced this first hand myself once they to my country), the people are effectively BARRED from travel to areas he is in, if you happen to live in that area, you are INPRISONED in your own house, you have to get permission from the US Secret Service to enter and exit your house, WTF?

Even Colonel Gadaffi could drive down the street in Libya without all the eounterage, the people liked him, that's why. Well, with the US president doing this to our people in our countries when they visit, we don't like him either.

Keep making enemies of your so called allies Mr President. please go home.

It's all about context. I am always amused by non-black people who try to insert a different race into the equation to justify their point.

How about this...if it were a depiction of a starving Jew behind barbed wires with a swastika on a coffee mug, would you find that amusing? Would anyone find that amusing?

Come to think of it, I can't recall seeing any swastika cartoons or depictions lately anywhere.

The only people that I always see screaming racist racist from the tree tops are Americans and Muslim extremists.

The rest of the world prefers to not knee jerk and see the joke for what it was, a characture of a president bumbling about like a chimp, same as George Bush did, nobody cried racist there did they, in fact it was accepted.

Here is a thing, I was on a business trip to America one time, and two friends / collogues with me, they're dark skined and muslim, and they saw a luggage bargin and we walked through a park and yanks were staring at me like I was a white suppremist with 2 black slaves in tow with my luggage. I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out the correlation between a monkey face on Nobama and the massacre of Jewish people by the Nazis. What point are you trying to make and why do you assume I am not black ?
It's like a Rorschach test, what you see in the images tells loads about how you think and the type of person you are. If you see racism in that picture then I would say you are the racist.

1. Because NOT ONE SINGLE black person calls Obama "NOBama". Not one. Not even hardcore black Republicans. Meet many people every day and as far as I am concerned that is a fact.

2. You know fully well what point I am trying to make in regards to comparing the swastika and monkey face on Obama. If you haven't spent enough time talking to qualified people or reading up on history, then shame on you. If you feel you have read enough, and STILL don't quite understand the issue, then (a) you need to spend more time living among people and walk a mile in their shoes or (2) you are just a pretentious individual looking for attention.

I grew up in Frayser TN, I went to a school that was 98% black. I have never looked at black people as anything but people.
