Quick send that clip to the White House. I loved that episode.

Kerry should repeat history and ride atop an imaginary A-1 Abrams as he did his imaginary Fast-boat during the Vietnam War, and repeat his glorious campaign of victory over the Communist hordes. We could then adulate him in an imaginary fashion.Just imagine.

The most disturbing reality about this very dangerous situation is that we have two idiots like John Kerry and Barak Obama speaking on behalf of our Country. World War 3 could start over this, it really could.

Face it, no matter what your political opinions are, This is not JFK and Robert McNamara making the decisions. Think about that for a minute? This is not a joke people. ~$heopleNation

This is another one of those moments when all I can say is elections have consequences.

And you can cast that net as far back and as wide as you want.

I can't argue with that my friend. It's not a good time to have an internationalist lap dog in the oval office, or a former peace activist dunce like Kerry beating the war drums. Not that they all on both sides are not mostly puppets, this just seems about as bad as it could get when dealing with the Russians, and how they operate. ~$heopleNation

Crimea should be awarded the same right to self-determination as Kosovo, which is an independent state although it is not recognized by the UN and a number of countries.

Lavrov also put forward the example of the Indian Ocean Comoro Islands off the African coast, which split last year in a referendum when the island of Mayotte decided to break away and join France. It gained the recognition of the African Union as a French province.

To all the people criticizing Kerry, what would YOU do? threaten war? A war with Russia could spiral out of control and go nuclear easier than you think. Both sides know this. Actually the possibility of war is greater than in the past due to the dilapidated state of the Russian air defense system, resulting in less time for analysis of threats and as a result a shorter time to decide whether or not to launch a retaliatory strike. That's why the US is seeking a diplomatic solution and Russia is gambling that we wont oppose them militarily because of the risks involved. The only solution is to try get world opinion to go against what they are doing to the degree that it is no longer worth it for them to pursue their actions. Its not machismo that is at stake, its whether or not we could have a conflict and a possible nuclear war. Our government is rightly using caution, only idiots think there is a military solution to this.

You make some valid points, and yes we should use caution. After putting that all aside though, John Kerry is still an idiot, and having him speak on our behalf is suicidal, as well as Obama. ~$heopleNation

Because Kerry wants to be the Democratic Party nominee in 2016 if Hillary doesn't run. She may not run, there is lots of time between now and then. Kerry is building up the power points, the tough guy points. If he's the nominee he's not going to get caught by the boaters again, he's going to be there with an invisible uniform on, tallying his counting-coups and showing those off to America. If Hillary doesn't run, Joe Biden is going to try for it, and even though both will be in their 70s, Kerry is planning on looking stronger than Biden, stronger than Jeb, or any of the rest.

I agree with you on this one even though I'm praying the American public see's through these games and puts a stop to this policy making/threats/etc., based on positioning oneself. Why do we elect the most manipulative people in existence into leadership? Is this the best we can do? What if every American just voted "other" - would that help? Our world is truly ill and is not anywhere close to being on the mend because we allow it.

We need to be electing people who do not want the job, not those who are willing to spend millions of dollars to get the job and who are willing to do what it takes to secure the win.

By definition when we elect either the GOP or Democrat candidate for President we are screwing up because each of those individuals are drooling over the power of the office and will do anything to secure it.

If Putin takes his troops into the East then everybody stand up and give a very big warm welcome to WWIII

If Putin stays in The Crimea, then it's financial war and sanctions

Which ever way you look at it is lose lose lose for Russia

Kerry is just trying to look big

Tell me one thing, why the heavens would fall if Putin takes Eastern Ukraine? Have the heavens fallen because of Crimea?

How would that spoil your or my or others Saturday morning breakfast??

If Putin attacks Baltics which are a member of NATO then it makes sense for US to get involved.

Obama should get the political and economic pressure going and hope for the best. He has several millions in earnings waiting in the post-Presidency lecture curcuit.

LolDoesn't explain it In The slightest

We can only hope people don't go basing there opinions on jokes taken out of context test for foolery and propaganda purposes

1) Libya was a uprising & civil war, Ukraine isn't anything of the sort

2)The US never invaded Libya with boots on the ground to support an ethnic minority gain independence

3) Libya was a NATO no fly zone called for by the Arab league, the people of Libya, and enforced by the French and the British

So kind explains it just fell flat on its face

Kerry needs to drop it, i was born and raised in eastern Europe, there is no way that Europe will turn on Russia because another country says so or because of sanctions. We like to resolve our things internally and trough war, its kinda sad but thats the way it is.

Maybe Ukraine should give up Crimea before a war erupts, or before Russia splits Ukraine into Eastern and Western Ukraine.

1) You mean not unlike Ukraine? OK.

2) You mean you dont want to believe they put operatives on the ground? OK.

So that is why you look brainwashed and shilly.

McCain is a warmonger. He can throw NATO into an expensive and possibly extended war with Russia and Arab world.

This prolonged war can DESTROY (i.e. split up) the NATO alliance.

This will unbalance and jolt the post WWII peace in Europe. It will have all kinds of Fascists/Right Wing/Neo-Communist/Empire-ist type destructive theories being given attention to again in main countries like France, Germany, Russia.

Better to keep a good buffer between NATO and Russia so that no major war breaks out.

Security guarantees given to buffer countries to thwart any mis-behavior.

US policy regarding NATO is to keep Germany down and Russia out............this focus should be maintained.

If NATO wants to remain intact it should NOT get too close to Russia......either as a friend or as an enemy.
