Travis Walton described a being on the saucer he was taken on board as looking just like us. And I have heard stories like that. But I don't know whether these are hybrids or co workers. After all we could have been somebody's colony so have a common ancestry. Maybe a penal colony.??. they dumped all the bad boys and girls here and that is why we are so nasty to each other. Of course Australia was settled by convicts... they seem proud of it.

No way to know .The navy has indeed been tightlipped about UFOs.. saying they had nothing in the way of documents even after I sent hem a document jointly written by Navy and Air Force guys. Frankly I think there is still an equivalent of Majstic 12. A recent article in the washington Post says the total Black Budget for intelligence work this year is about $52Billion. The big three are NSA,CIA,NRO.. plenty of room for serious work on UFOs.

Mr. Friedman, I am on the fence regarding ET. Certainly conspiracists point at the government hiding the truth about ET activity, but wouldn't it make more sense that what is being hidden is their own advances in technology?

I found your information regarding nuclear fission and magneto aerodynamics rather interesting. Certainly, if NASA, air force, and the atomic commission have been working on these classified projects for nearly 50 years, wouldnt it be more likely that most crafts seen today are actually our own advanced technology that had been springboarded from these initial projects?

As you pointed out before, nations would not wish to share such info, so naturally each nation would be interested in any sighting that they know is not theirs...it does not mean that it has to be ET, correct?

Stan who would you pick for a first contact scenario? to have the first chat with an ET race?.

No I don't think any are demons. I think they are advanced beings concerned about out primitive society whose major activity is tribal warfare and which has learned about nuclear fusion which would get us to the stars if we could spend the money. i think they wish to quarantine us. Don't forget we killed 50 million of our own kind and destroyed 1700 cities in WW 2.Since then we have exploded 2000 nuclear warheads and we will spend a trillion dollars on military stuff this year.We are not nice guys.

If I may use the above response to pose a question: Do you believe it's possible and/or likely that because of our primitive emotional state our world governments have come under influence/control of extra-terrestrial civilizations for the express purpose of keeping mankind imprisoned on Earth? That they in fact are the true powers egging us on to war in an effort to isolate and contain us?

My question is: If the E.T's are really concerned about our warfare, nuclear tech and the like, wouldn't they do a bit more than abduct people, and fly around in the sky? Like, I don't know, sabotage equipment, or, maybe, land, and talk us out of it? Not saying that they aren't concerned about it, but it just seems to me like that concern is secondary.

Since the direction of UFO investigations seems to have been hit with the "New-Age" group. Do you see the future of Ufology heading more towards fringe science (like ghost hunters and such) or head off into a more serious scientific direction (like how MUFON is suppose to work)?

Civilians don't, so that rules out everybody, right? What that really is, is the foundation of the story that governments would like us to believe, that "they are interested in duplicating the technology for defense". That's the story that everyone is meant to believe, when in fact, there is no technology, only a pile of stories like the one this thread is generating, which means that what is really important is the story and how it affects people. That's all there is to study in lieu of the perennially absent "physical evidence": stories; and that is precisely what is being studied.

Thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge. I was 5 when N. Armstrong & B. Aldrin landed on the moon. Do you believe that they had encounters up there and were told in no uncertain terms to keep quiet or else? Their first press conference upon landing was very depressing and stilted. Also, have received any threats and whom do you believe is behind it? Lastly, have you heard of bases in the Rockies, one in Canada where kids have been experimented on (see: Anya Briggs, James Casbolt, etc.)? Thanks.

Mr. Friedman, with the help of a fellow poster on my other thread linked above I have re-worded my question in order to cut it down to be suitable for this thread, my question is, do you think it's possible that these beings have more to do with our consciousness than our physical reality, and that we may create or project these things subconsciously? Mr. Friedman, after decades of UFO research, is there any reason to not conclude that the UFO mythos is nothing more than a coverup of military technology (probably derived from Nazi after WW2), for which people were hired to tell partially true stories and in combination with Ancient Astro Theory, to make a favor of this coverup? What makes you believe there are aliens at all, when the evidence of aliens has always been unclear photos, fabrications even strong cases like Rendlesham forest incident - is it the belief that is making you not dismiss all as a military coverup? thanks..
