Ok - the no straight answer says it all.

The writer cannot hide his identity - the spots appear in the same places.

And you're busy connecting the dots. To what end? You seek to attack through your screen? A modern troll. Is this the extent of your wits?

Having fun with the art of trolling.

The art of trolling.

A little too modern for my tastes.

Look to the left—the real world. Now look back at me, and tell me what you're trolling, if not yourself.

Is there a proper way to troll someone?

You are so transparent - you cannot change your character just by changing the label.

* If its your opinion that the whole soul has holes- ergo it would not be the whole holy soul

Solely one wholly whole holy hole.

Yes.
The whole is in the part -the troll's imagined "doings/work/toil" fills nothing as the one holy soul is complete.

That is indeed the question. I hoped that by the examples I provided, that there might just be. Who knows if its for better or worse. Another question.

In the story characters never change names. He exists as long as you keep reading him.

The internet isn't real, itsnowagain. Its a fairy tale. To you I am but an avatar and a series of paragraphs. The author doesn't exist here. He's somewhere out there in the real world.

No, its real, and its far more important than physical world. Ideas last forever after the owner is gone and with the internet, it spread wider and more swift, but only if you can capture some minds.

Keep on turning some minds and where else you can find frenzy, critical and hungry minds willingly to lap whatever thrown other than a few worthy conspiracy websites ? With your new persona (if that the case), I wish you good luck, too bad its neither as my friend nor my foe cause I choose not to be picky, maybe as a keyboard soldier would suffice for us both. Good luck comrades!

(Go on to fetching some bullets to shoot any LesMisanthrope posts, better prepare than being prepared)

How can you explore if you are not honest and do not apply your own suggested principles to your threads.
I am waiting for you to answer Itsnowagain's question- but you seem to have fallen to name calling again.

It's a shame you are just an avatar of colours on a screen, I would have very much enjoyed to have shared a beer and a discussion about philosophy!

Although how can one possibly know if this persona is real or feigned? As you so adequately put it, this is not the real world.

Either way, cheers my friend

There are too few people with common and gentlemanly wit.

It's not, my friend. It is generated by us. We created it. We power it. We influence it. We can change it. We are the input, and thus more powerful. The real ones are the creators and destroyers in this instance.

No doubt the real ones are the creators, but the ideas and its working is whats more important. What are creators without his creation ? Either perish, or create something to exist in the net, (hopefully its usable
).

I did create something, but then doubt it and abandon the work, now, some other thinking minds stumble on it and start requesting I continue the job I started, dilemma.
, proof of the idea cannot be destroyed.

Of course, I can stop at any time if situation demand it, and I did, yet, the previous creation/ideas still exist and propagated.
What if your creation haunt you back someday ? See the point of ideas more powerful than creator ? They can call you back! (You can choose to ignore though, which I did
)

Application of the term troll is subjective. Some readers may characterize a post as trolling, while others may regard the same post as a legitimate contribution to the discussion, even if controversial.Like any pejorative term, it can be used as an ad hominem attack, suggesting a negative motivation.

You're a brilliant writer and communicator, whatever the topic.

Words hurt them, and thirsty populace would rather hurt a real person than to hear them spoken not in their voice.

This, in particular, but much more in your piece, really touched a chord for me.

Is there a proper way to troll someone?

Two aquatic brothers live in a stream. They see people walking along the banks on both sides... occasionally sending things across to each other in small boats. Sometimes these would tip over and the brothers found they were full of assorted flavors and beauty. Over time they collected the things they could not eat, and began hungering for the things they could.

A thoughtful spirit who traveled the stream noticed their difference from the rest of their brethren and granted them the gifts of walking the banks of the stream and immortality from others. No one could hurt them but themselves. The downside was they were still unappealing to the sight in the eyes of those who wandered the banks of their stream.

The two brothers eagerly explored the banks, but found themselves unwelcome in the villages to either side. The people simply could not understand them, and feared them when all attempts to harm the brothers came to no good.

The brothers spoke and decided on a plan. They would build two bridges since they were able to venture into the middle of the stream the way the people could not. This would bring friendship between the two banks and the people would accept them.

In order to build the bridges though, the brothers needed supplies. Supplies that only the villages could provide, but nobody would trade with them.

So they took small amounts from the packages that floated across the stream. Not so much as to rouse significant anger but enough to eventually begin building bridges. The people had learned they could not harm the brothers so best to just give them their toll... though they hurled insults at the brothers anytime they were seen and some packages were booby trapped intending to cause harm. No harm came, and the brothers even learned the techniques of the traps.

The way the two brothers handled these reactions differed though. One grew hurt and upset and began to resent those who traded across the river. The other remained focused on the original plan.

Once the bridges were ready, they knew they would still require resources to maintain them so they enacted a small fee for usage of the bridge. When the fee was agreed and the bridges were opened... the resentful brother decided to lower his fee to half of the agreed amount. This was not enough to maintain the bridge given the increased wear and tear, but ensured more people would take his.

The people were very grateful for the bridges and though they did not like paying a fee for doing something they used to do for free... they appreciated the convenience and ability to visit each side without risk.

Over time the resentful brother's bridge began to decay and one day a traveler fell through a hole. The resentful brother went to the bottom of the stream and saw that the traveler had hurt himself. The brother recognized the traveler as one who had set a particularly nasty trap. The resentful brother took everything from the traveler and left him there to suffer. The traveler was confused because he had come to think the brother offering the cheaper passage was the truer friend.

The resentful brother realized what was possible with such a defective bridge and began working over time to draw more travelers to his trap.

It took a while before the people noticed that something was amiss. Once it was realized that one bridge led to nowhere but ruin, suffering, and confusion... they immediately spread the word and ceased using that bridge. One day while trying to repair his bridge with mud in place of wood it collapsed under his weight and he fell... landing face to face with the skull of his original toll.

The steadfast brother maintained his fee... and the people came to recognize that this fee was used to strengthen the bridge and thus the bond between both sides of the stream and the one who maintained the bridge.

The prosperity realized by both sides of the stream was recognized as only being possible due to the actions of the initially unappealing beast who maintained the bridge. In time they developed two different titles for those who take on the responsibility of maintaining bridges between people.

Bridge Masters and Bridge Trolls.
