The oil rig "witness" email is interesting but it begs the question... what was he waiting for?

March 8: The plane is lost. Today is March 12, 2014 - and only NOW he sends this email?

He does say he tried to contact Malaysian and Vietnam "officials". Pretty weak.

Not buying it. But we'll see if anything pans out.

Interesting passport number tho. Lots of 8's there. Asians love their 8's.

I'm guessing this guy is a hoaxer.

Im guessing they may have gotten tons of calls and or emails from witness's. He could have just gotten lost in the shuffle or shear numbers. Probably took longer for this last email because he thought maybe they would look there and it has now dawned on him they are looking in a very different place. Or maybe he was waiting for someone to contact him back... Who knows, it is all very confusing for us, I can imagine what it is like over there.

Believe me, if this guy is on an oil rig in the basic area of the crash site, his phone call would have gotten RIGHT to the front of the line BIG TIME.

It's BS.

I am not going to write this rig sighting off until it is proven no such person works on it.

True, but on the day he tried to report it, they didnt know where the crash site was did they? They probably had calls coming from all kinds of different locations in all different directions.
Just because that is how Americans might handle the calls doesnt mean that is how they are handling it over there.

Just after I wrote this I saw a post that BBC new is now reporting that Vietnam is sending an aircraft to talk to the guy on the rig. I will see if I can find a link for that as there wasnt one posted with that post

For some reason I see this missing plane connected to everything else that's happening in that part of the world and not as an isolated incident. Just a feeling I guess. That part of the globe already has Japan and China entangled in a mess. I think what happened in the Ukraine, happened at this particular time for a reason. Today's news tells us the Chinese economy may be on the brink of collapse. Just google China's exploding debt and read the analysis. I guess Russia isn't far behind and maybe neither is anyone else. So I feel there's a link between this event and those realities. Each player is ever more so, jockeying for position and looking for an edge. Maybe that plane provides that edge, with the personnel on board. This is certainly no longer a crash investigation.

Some early reports stated it landed in China escorted by Chinese military jets. Then the reports were deemed erroneous. Where would something like that come from? Someone just thought it up out of thin air? I think it still holds true as it has obviously not been found by search and rescue operations. The reports said it landed safely but in a much different location than it's original destination - Nanming, Guiyang, Guizhou, China. Now, from where and why would this come out of thin air? Who made it up and why that location, if it false?

I don't know a lot about the Chinese political scene, but I know I've read there's is a faction of the military that are not happy how things are being run and would like to take a much stronger stand against the West. I'm wondering if this faction has decided to be proactive and made a move on the plane, knowing the Freescale people were on that flight. If it went to Beijing, their options would be limited. However if they were able to get it to Nanming and have the rest of the world think it was a catastrophic event that took the plane, then they might have that edge if the technology the Freescale people have, if it has that potential. Freescale already has offices in China in a few locations and one location is 100 miles north of the location they were reported to have landed, in Chingqing, However, the managers on this flight, working out of the US, may have much different clearances and much different access to sensitive designs.

Why would the US, the Malays and even the Chinese government keep that from getting out? There are probably a lot of self-serving reasons for that. If a faction within the Chinese military are responsible for the, the central government certainly wouldn't want that to get out. They would look even weaker, considering the state of their economy. Same goes for the US administration, especially after Syria and the Ukraine standoffs with Putin. The Malays are stuck in the middle.

Well all I can say is, if they can make a jumbo liner disappear, you better hold on to your drawers. I think things are going to get very ugly from here on out.

Would anyone be surprised of the Chinese found the remains of the craft? Not me

The guy's name does not even sound asian and if he is hoaxing, why would he put his passport number? It can be easily verified if he exist or not.

on the 11pm news right now..newscaster says the families are calling and the phones are still ringing...still talking about the pilot having pretty ladies in the cockpit on an earlier flight....that's all they said

If i'm going to put my tinfoil hat on, I would think this is a China operation too. Maybe stealing tech online is getting difficult for them since they were outed so what's the next best thing to do but steal the people who are working with a technology they wanted badly to get.

It was 5 days before signs of AF447 were found. And they had a rough idea of where to look.

PORT DICKSON: A group of fishermen found a life raft bearing the word “Boarding” 10 nautical miles from Port Dickson town at 12pm yesterday.

Not sure where Port Dickerson is but there is a picture of the raft as this LINK, sadly it seems the raft sunk when trying to bring it aboard the rescue boat. Wonder why they let it get away??? Too bad that.

Can anyone tell if that would be a airline raft?
