I am not sure if your response is agreeing with me OR are you asking for an explanation

Sorry no I'm not asking for an explanation just guessing maybe it was a test run to see if it could be done, sorry :-)

Agreeing on the dry run theory :-)

Don't know about how up to date these ship tracking apps are but according to one i've just looked at there are no ships anywhere near the Indian Ocean, except for local ports in Australia.

I did find one unidentified ship but then when I went back it had disappeared?

Have the Australians released coordinates? Wonder if the debris is located in a shipping lane? Or a well-known meeting place for debris, due to the aforementioned winds and currents?

The image does, to my eye, look much more like a shipping container than a piece of boeing 777

There appears to be some coordinates on top of this image?

43:58:34S 090:57:37E

But are these satellite coordinates? I don't know.

I dont know how many times this has to be said or you guys dont get it.. lol auto pilot is not some change altitude plane turns by itself nook and cranny aspect and decide to turn southwest towards Australia its effectively cruise control at ideally cruise altitude hence someone was controlling the plane and people were not all "aphexiated" while magically like some magical Dragon flew for 8 hours with no one conscious...like really people this is not a 15 kg drone this is a 15 tonne airliner use some common sense

thetruth201 you might be too young to remember this aircraft, wallowed around the sky for 32 minutes without a tail fin porpoised up and down etc until it hit a hill.

JAL flight 123

When you learn to fly a plane one early lesson an instructor gives you is to make trim the plane and take your hands off the controls. They still fly y'know.

30 mins in comparison to 8 hrs in flight on autopilot is a huge diffirence with waypoints andflight altitude changes that corroborate it was deliberate as well as bypassing various airports and like you said hit a hill further corrborated by the plane flying over elevated terrain above sea level both in Malaysia and Thailand

Good point. I was thinking the same thing. If there is some sort of debris, wouldn't you check for possible survivors in the area, even as a remote possibility that exists? Calling it a day? The feet dragging response to this whole incident, from all involved, increases suspicions, whether warranted or not.

I live in the great lakes area and use THIS APP and it is usually up to date within minutes.

Hope the link works.

So - that object looks to be about 20 meters in length, and maybe 5 meters at the shoulders (*).
Probably not going to be part of a wing with an engine.
What are you thinking (other than wave break)?

Just spotted this posted a few minutes ago on the "International Business Times", which appears to be referencing an ABC news article (that I haven't tracked-down just yet):

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370: Only Dolphins and Freighter Found as Debris Search Proves Fruitless

Here are a few excerpts:

A nine-hour search for two pieces of debris believed to be from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has concluded, with only a freighter and two groups of dolphins discovered.

"Now we use the drift analysis to figure out where it was," he told ABC News.

"We're all excited to find it ... but we know we did some good today.

"We eliminated the area and we move on to the next area tomorrow and we keep trying. We keep our hopes up ... more search tomorrow."
