Also instead of dodging my questions and saying I am calling you stuff why not actually think about what I asked.

If it was the other way around would you stick up for the vet shooting the Mexican for trespass and property damage or not?.

Yes or no.?

That's one hell of an accusation.

Maybe not racism - classicism maybe

You do seem to believe that the only legitimate people are people who've passed tests and have papers

There are many people crossing over who are here for a reason - a more important story than how one person chooses to fly a flag - but, never mind that

You can't seem to prove the gentleman in the video is illegal - or even anti-American

What is your issue then? America is being ruined for Americans by people who want to live in America and be American - but don't do it right?

No - not racism - you're right

:-)

From what I see in the video, the flag was flying above the sidewalk, in a commercial district, the vet didn't go onto anybodies property, he was on public property.

People keep talking about the law. We got 30 million illegals in this country constantly violating the law, and our government does nothing about it. We have millions of employers hiring these illegals, which is also illegal, and nothing is being done about it. We have the corporate banks committing wide spread fraud, and the government does nothing about it.

So all these claims about violating the law are nothing but pure hypocrisy.

Did I call you a bigot? no I said I smell racism in this thread and I do.

Like I said If it was the other way around many here would be saying stuff different and sticking up for the Vet (remember the other way around).

So please stop saying I called you a bigot.

It is less racism and more nationalism.

My wife is latina. Her family is Texan from back in the days of indians and buffalos. And she is pretty harsh in her view of immigration and matters like this. It is one of the few areas where we have disagreement in our viewpoints. She wants to lock down the border and keep the "mojado's" out, while I want to see us normalize our drug laws and help Mexico rebuild what we have ruined over the last 50 years.

My issue is they do not want to be Americans....Just ask them.

They fled their Country because of Drug Lords and corruption.

If I was born there I would come to America as well.

They came here by the millions and now are making a claim that this is their land.

This is where the tension is coming from.

Ok maybe Iam being a bit harsh and I say sorry but I see it in the UK also with the Pakistanis, Indians etc people slagging them off because they come to our country for a better life and It isn't nationalism it is just fear of different people which leads to racism.
I agree with you that the war on drugs have not helped either country, in fact it has been counter productive.

Out of all those millions of people - why do you choose to focus on the irrational?

This is your choice - to ignore the real problems and instead focus on nonsense

Mexico - and the Mexicans (those that would make the claim) are never going to - in actuality - take back any territory

No human being is illegal

If we handled things differently, with a revised attitude - none of your worst fears would even be fears

That's your opinion not fact.

BS

My Ex's father for thirty years went down to Mexico and built factories for many well known and established large corporations which by the way "took Er Jobs" to Mexico which Mexico has supposedly about 70 million living as what Americans call 'Middle Class' What's coming across the border are mostly, not all but mostly uneducated and obviously ones who don't particularly follow the law anyway otherwise they'd do it legally.

I'm in agreement with bfft wife.

I didn't single anyone out did I?
But people can be racist and not even realise it...that is the case here.
I noticed no one actually said anything about the rest of my post? why is that? If it was the other way around the Mexican going on the vets property and damaging the vets stuff people would be saying the Mexican was out of order.
edit on 11-3-2014 by boymonkey74 because: (no reason given)

no, but you implied it.
please show a instance where someone said or implied that it as a rascist thing, all i see is people claiming national identity. and who owns the land. now just because that mexicans happen to come from a place that is their nationality and their race share the same word, doesn't mean people are inferring race.

if the vet was in mexico flying the U.S.Flag over the mexician flag, and their code said the same thing. no.
if the vet was flying the U.S. flag over the mexician flag in the U.S. Per the flag code. yes.

now you answer the same question. if the vet was flying the U.S. flag in the U.S. over the Mexican flag per the flag code, would the Mexican be wrong for cutting it down.

My wife and I go down to Mexico every year to provide free medical services.

I love the Mexican people. I find it amusing that I actually try to do something.

Yet I get called names from people sitting on their A$$.

The irony is dripping...

Slayer - you're not the only one who is Mexican

Or knows Mexicans...

Or is friends with Mexicans...

Or - knows anything (or apparently everything) about Mexico...

I agree with a lot of people - doesn't make me - or them right. You are not the final authority - on everything Mexican - any more than you are the final authority on all things American

:-)

History is right in front of you - and Mexico is what it is today for more than one reason

They are here for more than one reason

Never claimed that.

Or is friends with Mexicans...

Never claimed that either.

True just interjecting real world facts into a discussion on the topic.

Bad form?

Mexico rebuild what we have ruined over the last 50 years.

i can't agree on that at all.

we did not invent the drugs, the peoples from south america and central america. have been using drugs long before any white man ever set foot into the area. the drug trade is world wide. and the U.S. is far from being the only country that has the lust for drugs coming from there.

the problems that stem in those regions are the countries fault. due to the greed and corruption that comes from it.government officials taking bribes and kick backs from it, and turning a blind eye to it at the start.

granted the world shares in it but the world didn't ruin it.

The ones coming across the border generally break into two groups:

- regular folks. They are broke, and are here for the promise of being able to fee their children. I know many, many folks like this. Good people. Hard working, honest....good people just like you and I.

- cartels and gangs. They come here to commit some sort of act, then head back to mexico where they live and conduct business.

Of the two, only 1 is undesireable. And that undesirable group, the cartels, exist by the good graces of our government.

I know an ex green beret who wakes up screaming every night. He won't even tell his wife why, let alone me. He was a medic. But what makes him wake up screaming was what happened in the last year of his career, while he would do missions into Mexico and Costa Rica. The only thing I know is they were sent to protect crops, which were considered a "national interest". The same crops that US citizens are arrested for when it makes its way over here.

Which kind of makes sense when you look at Afghanistan. Especially in light of reports of the HUGE increase in heroin supplies that are making it into western cities.

Our government has screwed the regular folks in BOTH countries around for a couple of generations. "Illegals" only want what you and I want: some semblence of liberty.

Wait, your wife is mexican and you visit mexico every year yet, you don't know or don't want to acknowledge that most, if not all, the people in that pic have native american blood?

Seems to be a bit of a disconnect there.
