So.... you prefer the vigilante method? How about if he just exercised his first amendment right to voice his opinion to the restaurant owner, then he just walked away? He could have even got some of his friends together to stage a peaceful protest on the public street outside the restaurant. He had other options available to him, yet he chose the more violent path.

But yes I know... It's just a picture right? You didn't explicitly SAY that people should shoot people over it, nor did you imply it... you just happened to post a lovely picture of Walter holding his gun...

Got your attention didn't it?

Back to the Video

Did you specifically see him stab or threaten someone with guns'?

Or you could just answer the question...

In California we have the retreat law.

You must retreat if it is possible.

In Texas you could shoot him dead.

Got your attention didn't it?

It did - got mine - just as you intended

What did you mean by it? See, this is the thing - what exactly is your position?

Why won't you own it?

The guy had a knife on his property trying to destroy private property..the amount of times I have heard many Americans saying "he is allowed to defend his property" well.....

If it was a Mexican trespassing on a vets property and that mexican damaged the vets property and the vet killed the mexican I think many here would be saying the Vet was in his right to do so.

I smell racism in this thread and it stinks.

You know...

The more I think of this and not just about the video but also the replies and arguments the more I find it quite humorous. For those few who in this thread that very specifically bashed Americans for having irrational 'Flag Pride' I'll ask you this, what was the Mexican doing in this context?

Proudly displaying their flag.

Ironic

LOL. Valid point.

I have to disagree with tearing it down though. Private property on private property. It was the owner's Mexican flag and the owner's store so he had every right to fly it. Although I disagree with the idea of people moving into a country and then they refuse to assimilate to the new country--if they loved their old country so much, why did they move? However, part of freedom is tolerating things you don't agree with.

So yes... you were implying violence is a reasonable and noble response, just as I thought... when you asked me to point out where or deny saying you said it, and I DO find that you said it... you want to change the subject
No surprises there

Shame you wont be honest... becoming a theme isn't it?

RE the video:

The guy says "if they wanna fight us then come and fight us, be men"
"I want someone to fight me for this flag, they're not going to get it back"

So while holding a knife, he is violently calling out and challenging people to fight him, while brandishing his knife.
Is that not incitement... not threatening?

Hmmmm

I didn't single anyone out did I?
But people can be racist and not even realise it...that is the case here.
I noticed no one actually said anything about the rest of my post? why is that? If it was the other way around the Mexican going on the vets property and damaging the vets stuff people would be saying the Mexican was out of order.

Actually he's stood still talking to the camera.
And even if he wasn't, a threat is only a threat if you're stood still in America?

OK, good to know... cheers

Did I call you a bigot? no I said I smell racism in this thread and I do.

Like I said If it was the other way around many here would be saying stuff different and sticking up for the Vet (remember the other way around).

So please stop saying I called you a bigot.

Just a question here.

If the Mexican was armed and killed the vet (an armed intruder on his property) would you agree it was his right to kill the vet?.

Genuine question btw.

I would agree that it may be his right, but it wouldn't make it right.

There's also that whiff in the video.
The Vet explicitly states "If they wanna fight" like somehow these Mexicans are here to fight America.
They own and run a business, they fly BOTH the US and Mexican flag... they are proud, not disrespectful.

So I agree... this isn't a simple case of "flag pride" I think this runs deeper for sure.
