This video never existed until March 1, 2014..... I cant find a single source from earlier than that date, the exact same video is on a whole bunch of sites, but none prior to March 1, 2014.

It should fairly easy to find it on a fox news site since it appears to be quite recent, but it can't be found on a single fox news site, which again points to it being assembled from different videos into one composite video.

At 10 seconds is the first obvious edit cut... afterwards the scene is zoomed as opposed to before.

From what I can find, it appears that this video was originally posted on Enenews from an email source and and not a Fox News source.... it went "viral" from there and has been posted on at least 10 sites, most of them link back to Enenews as a source, which Enenews states was an "email".

My turtle shell is tingling. I am going to have to go with hoax until someone can post a foxnews link to the same video, as I can't seem to find one.

I just wrote him on FB, and will try to find him on Twitter in a moment. My only fear is that his FOX FB page is probably ran by someone other than himself so who knows what I will hear back, if anything at all.

I will make sure to post any updates. Truth be told, I am doing this for all of the skeptics who think this video is a hoax.

I have no doubt in my mind that it is authentic but I have been wrong before and would rather be corrected than perpetuate disinfo so I would definitely like to get to the bottom of this so we can stop focusing on such trivial matters then we can talk about the meat of the subject.

I agree. I watch Shep almost everyday. I checked out the video you posted. It's Shep, & he sounds pissed!! I don't understand how it can be a hoax.........?

Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt that it is Shepard Smith. I just have the sneaky suspicion that videos/audio has been spliced from different videos to make it appear that he said something that he didn't actually say. Or as they say in the news world... he has been "quoted out of context".

I forgot to point out that I noticed the possible editing at 10 seconds on the YT vid, but when you view it at E-News the "glitch" just isn't there. Perhaps whoever recorded from E-News to YT did an amateur job which is why it appears spliced/edited?

Not saying this is for certain just raising the possibility. The E-News embed is crystal clear for both visual and audio unless I am missing something...as previously mentioned I am no expert and am open to corrections.

I will continue researching though...

That is Shepard Smith, no doubt about it whatsoever. Fukushima has been covered up in order to protect the economy, and Japanese exports. When will the herds wake up?

It appears that some members have reason to believe that the video may be spliced/edited in regards to sound and visual.

I cannot say for certain that this is not true, but I do not believe it to be true from what I have seen.

Many of us are trying to get to the bottom of this but no success so far...

I have researched for a couple of hours and I can not track down this video other than when it first appeared on:

There are no video sources prior to Mar. 1, 2014. Enenews states that their source for this video was an "email". If anyone can find this video on a Fox news site or one of the videos that the audio may have come from, my hat is off to you.

The video is going viral, its on probably 15 or more sites now, and not a single one can link it to an original source video, other than Enenews which has no source video either.

The link on the Enenews site that the OP used is no longer available on that site.... they have a link below the article that links to an old March 2011 report from Shepard Smith, but no link to where this video came from.

I still find it extemely suspicious that the video can not be found on a single Fox News site, which leads me to believe that it was editted before it was uploaded.

How long before this video will be linked to the rumors that Shep's weight loss was caused by radiation (totally not true according to Shep) from being in Tokyo shortly after the disaster?

I have been on the Japan forums for a long time now, and not having a credible source for information is detrimental,,,,, Enenews is not a credible source by any means, they are mostly Fukushima doom porn. They do post some useful information, but I only use it when I can verify the news from other sources. So far, my research shows me that the video originated from an email that was sent to enenews with no corresponding verification from a second source which makes it highly suspect in my opinion.

It's not editted very well for a major new orginazation, especially one who has been caught editing stuff before.... remember the Zimmerman fiasco?

Yeah, it's called cutting out the commercials. Shep always talks about what issue he is going to cover prior to taking a commercial break, Then he returns with the story. That is all that you're seeing.

Of course you can't find it. Once FOX News sponsors made an uproar that they were sabotaging their fish and rice products coming out of Japan, they made it vanish from their archives. It's not rocket science, it's the reason it's been covered up from the very beginning, = MONEY! (Profit over humanity).

More like Shep doesn't want it to be true, I know I would not. Course, who knows about all that though. Was he actually in the Fukushima area? I don't know myself, but if he was in Tokyo, the effects would not have shown up so soon. He was looking pretty sucked up back then though.

Ummm, good thread, but that bottom image everyone loves to spread as an image of the radiation spreading is a tsunami map is it not? I thought this was some huge thing recently as a strike against fuku,fanatacism....

I do not disagree with your thread, or the fact fukushima is way worse than we are told. I'm pretty sure the map is not what it's always portrayed as though.

Yeah, I wish I could take that meme out. I thought about it while the time was there but it would have been unfair to the posts in regards to it so I had to leave it up, even after it was pointed out. I won't lie, I was ignorant to the meaning of the map in that meme as I always thought it was some sort of radiation index.

I wish whoever made the meme used an applicable map...LOL still my bad.

You guys are going to give me gray hair, oh wait too late... But before I continue let me just say that my frustration is not aimed at the person I am replying to. OK? The person I am most frustrated by I will not respond to again.

I've listened to many fake bush speeches that were spliced. I've listened to many pretty good Obama edits.. This is not like those at all. This looks to me like raw video that Shepard Smith found a way to get out in a semi legal way. I am not a fan of any of the three people I just mentioned, but the video SOUNDS legit to me.

Like I mentioned earlier He was in Japan the whole time, and this gives him the motive. FOX has motive to not cause fear that doesn't drive any actionable purpose that also causes possible loss of corporate income.
