No they aren't.

What they are doing is buying into the Russian Propaganda because they are being denied access to media that shows the other side.

When the people form an opinion based on manipulated facts and lies, the response from that is not theirs. Even more so when the Russian government is the one misleading / lying to the Russian citizens.

So no, they aren't talking. The Russian government is.

You do know hes an attorney right? They have him heading there legal department. Meaning hell be the one to sue Russia in international court now think real carefully how that benefits Burisma Holdings. Means very likely Russia will lose those gas contracts in Crimra they tried to illegally seize. Rule number one if you want to win a legal battle have a well known attorney.

They're not going to sue anything. The proceedings will take a looooong time & by that point the legal waters will be so muddy that more than likely there will be an 'negotiation' (at best).

Legal waters are very clear Russia is attempting to annex their property they'll get a judgement in an international court trust me this will be one of many Russian companies will have to deal with. This is why it was such a bone head maneuver on Putins part hes destroying his own economy. Between expenses in crimea he legal proceedings against Russian companies and the sanctions within a year or two will start having to send aid shipments so Russians wont starve. Then how popular do you think Putin will be?

Ukrainian border guards are fleeing from many border posts in Lugansk region.
It was all done in a peaceful way which is a good thing to see.
There is no Ukrainians controlling border posts right now and it looks like humanitarian corridor has been established.

Checkpoint "Dolzhansky" is completely under the control of the People's Self-Defense LC. At the same time, as reported by the representatives of the militia Luhansk, 26 Ukrainian border guards themselves left post after the ultimatum by People's Self-Defence LC.

This was about eleven years ago when he was prime minister of Denmark over involvement in the Iraq war. See you cant believe Russian propaganda it lies alot. PS dont believe anything you see on RT or Russian media this was a story put out by liveleak from a Russian blog the same source you got the news about the border patrol being overrun. Ukraine said they were attacked but never mentions losing it yet. So im not very inclined to believe that either.

Today the self-defense forces of Lugansk People's republic took under their control two military units. In the morning the military unit near the Krasniy Brod was taken under control. The soldiers handed over without shooting. Later the military unit in Djakovo, Antracit region, LPR was taken under control too. The Ukrainian border guards run away after a short clash.

The Ukrainian border guards left the border guard point Doljansky. 26 soldiers and officers left their post and sought safety in the Russian Federation.

The most severe battle for the hero-town of DPR Slavyansk were near the village Semenovka. The Kiev junta troops keep the frontline but the self-defense forces are battle-hardened and not going to leave their positions. For the last three days Semenovka garrison of self-defense shot down 3 military helicopters and 2 attack aircrafts. The amount of volunteers who is ready to join the self-defense forces has increased during the last few days. The employees from the local plants come to improvised military recruiting station to get the ammunition and weapon every day. The locals better rise in arms than abandon the city to the bandits of Kiev junta regime well known for their cruelty towards civilians. Remind that Slavyansk was left without water supply as a result of yesterday shelling. The people deliver water in barrels.

The governor of Rostov region, Russia, Vasiliy Golubev declared a state of emergency because of the increased stream of refugees from the South-East of Ukraine. "In the preceding day 8386 citizens of Ukraine came to Rostov region from Ukraine. Yesterday we inspected the refugee camp. 151 children are staying there" - tells the Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation Pavel Astakhov on his page in Instagram.

in regards to border posts, we are talking about few of them not only one. Not sure which one you are referring to.
If you are talking about Dolhzansky, it does not exist as a border post any more at Lugansk side.
No Ukrainian forces there according to Kiev's latest addmission.

It has been roughly 2 months since the siege of Slavyansk has started. So far Junta forces have done no advancement at all. They have vastly outnumbered resistance forces in ration 1:10 if not more, they have much more sophisticated weaponry, they have tanks, cannons, planes, helicopters, intelligence assistance from US/NATO, drones...who knows what else. But still they are not able to move pass those checkpoints which are about 5km from the centre of Savyansk.
Someone would say they want to avoid civilian deaths (aka collateral damage, US/NATO terminology).
So if that is the case, what exactly they are trying to achieve? Time is running out, resistance forces are growing in numbers, digging in even deeper in the city and they are having access to more advanced weaponry now.
What do you think is the reason for luck of success of Junta's military operation?
Luck of motivation, luck of battlefield experience, luck of command expertise, confidence issues, the fact they are fighting against local people who do not want to be a part of same state and who have been conduction psy ops against Junta forces? What is going to happen once Oddessa, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk regions get involved?
I do not see any goods coming for Junta and its army in a next few months. Add a collapsing economy to that and gloom and doom is knocking on the door.

not sure what is the problem, there is more than 8000 refuges and there is 4000 people who wants to stay permanently in Russia?
Is it so hard to believe that women and children are running away from air-strikes, shellings and all other kind of lovely things Willy Wonka and the gang are conducting on daily basis?
The shame is that it is all put under the carpet in MSM, you can barely find any info on what is going on there. Wonder why.

Missed this part as well i take it how convenient. See there lying again just like they did when they said this before and then showed a picture of the polish border. Oh you are so quick to believe anything approved by Putin even though i just finished showing you a lie about the UN secretary general. Nothing at this point coming out of Russia can be believed unless it has third party verification.

I thought this was funny to keep Putin away from the other leaders hes having to eat two meals.

Desperate not to offend either of his mutually loathing invitees, the French president has taken the unusual step of agreeing to eat two meals in one evening.

First he dines on Thursday night at the Chiberta restaurant - just by the Arc de Triomphe - with President Obama.

Then - after presumably toying with his Michelin-starred plat and definitely not ordering the cheese - he returns to the Elysee for what they are calling "supper" with Vladimir Putin.

It is an unusual situation for a head of state - a reminder perhaps of the lengths Mr Hollande is prepared to go to make these two days a success.

When you are as unpopular at home as the president is, a big international shindig can come as a lifesaver. And shindigs rarely come as big as this one.

Containment as well as to demonstrate that the accusations made by countries like Russia aren't based on fact.

Since Putin got what he wanted and threw the remaining pro Russian forces under the bus in the south and east, there is some room to try and negotiate with those groups. There have been statements from the pro Russian side that they are facing issues from no support.

Instead of charging in and leveling the area like Russia did in Chechnya, the Ukraine government is constantly looking for solutions.

While it looks little surprising that Putin has abandoned the S-E pro Russian forces, but it is more likely that a case is being built for excessive use of force, human rights, refugees flow, atrocities, oppression etc. when finally Russian forces will enter the theater to create stability and grant S-E folks their wish of becoming an independent nation.

Not bad strategy, given the US has done such intervention many times before like in Kosovo and indirectly in several more nations.

Until S-E Ukraine is out of the US-NATO orbit, the problem will be there in the region.
