I bet a few weeks ago most folks couldnt locate Ukraine on a map. Now they're all experts on the region.

Don't underestimate my intelligence. The week before last I didn't know the earth revolved around the sun but I know now and I'm now learning a lot about this new Ukraine nation too. Apparently you cannot see it from Alaska which I find strange as it is supposed to be on the border of Russia and I can see the border of Russia but I can't see Ukraine there

We are feeling it on a whole other level here, with Ukraine being the home of our parents and ancestors and us having grown up with hopes of it having its independence back again someday, then being so very happy when it did, only to watch it slowly being torn apart from within in the years following, and now watching an opportunistic predator raising its ugly head again.

Just sad.

The extreme right wing groups tweeted that 1000 of their fighters are headed for Kharkiv to attack the pro Russian marches on the street. This is extremely important as this will be used by the Russians as a escuse to protect their population in Ukraine, and will invade.

Thanks asen, I appreciate your updates as you know the ins and outs of these media sources I'm not familiar with.

So the US is going to arm Ukrainians so they can do the fighting for them... Similar to how the Russian troops aren't wearing insignia. It's like a huge puppet show.

Parliamentarians are calling to block Russiand TV channels in Ukraine. Calling them propaganda outlets.

So everyone believes that Russia has a military presence in Crimea, but without a declaration of war from Putin himself its not good enough for you...

I honestly can't believe you think that is a declaration of war from Ukraine.. Russia votes that military intervention would be okay, so Ukraine puts their own military on alert and you consider that them declaring war on Russia???

Edit: I'm actually done and over with this argument. This situation in Ukraine seems to be quickly escalating, and It affects my job here in the US DIRECTLY. I have more important things to worry about than trolls.

This agreement didnt give them the right to station troops in the airport or government buildings in the area, Like it or not thats an occupation and it maybe met with force.Your playing games with semantics. As far as Ukraine declaring war no they didnt they said if you bring Russian troops into our country we will consider this an act of war and will fight. This whole thing can be avoided putin simply puts his toys back in the box and goes home and this is done. By the way you dont need 15000 troops to protect one naval base but of course in your world i guess they do because i gues you figure the Russian military is just so pathetic that 15000 is what the use as security guards right?

Russia has not stationed troops in airports or government buildings. They are 'pro-Russian gunmen'. While those gunmen may be Russian operatives, they have no proven links to the government of Russia right now, meaning that Russia cannot be held accountable for the occupation of the airports and government buildings by pro-Russian gunmen.

Russia may be violating Ukraine's sovereignty discretely, but without evidence, there is nothing which can be done. That is the problem so many of you are finding hard to grasp right now.

The outlets presented in this thread were ones i found while searching for information in order to clarify my points in this thread. I have read the information in a lot of other news sources, these were just the first to pop up when searching right now.

UDARivets is organization took an active part in the seizure of power in Ukraine. Refer to this source correctly, if you look at the situation objectively. Lie - it's their main tool. One of the reasons that they can not publish truthful information - lack of access to it. Crimean residents blocked all roads to the peninsula to prevent provocations.
