I still don't understand why everyone pushing this stuff is so stingy and stops at a living wage. People don't want to just "live", they want to live well. Why not a universal luxury wage. C'mon man, splain why not.
And I don't want to hear about how if you raise the lowest rung person, then you have to raise them all the way up the ladder. That obviously doesn't apply to minimun, so it won't apply to luxury.
California’s fast-food workers are now among the highest paid in the U.S. They still don’t make nearly enough to buy a house.
California’s half a million fast-food workers will now make at least $20 an hour. But the pay increase won’t move the needle when it comes to making buying a house more affordable in the state.
The new minimum wage for California’s fast-food workers works out to about $41,600 a year. For workers in other sectors, California’s minimum wage remains $16 an hour, or about $33,280 a year. To buy a house in the state, an aspiring homeowner would need an annual salary of at least $197,057 a year
“$20 sets an important wage floor for workers in the fast-food industry and will ease the financial strain on many Californian families, but still falls short of what’s necessary for even dual-income families to support two kids in California,” [said Kyle Moore, an economist with the Economic Policy Institute]

Once again you are not putting a value to a service.
Lol what is up with your global warming..
We talked about how 46% of work is in small businesses where there are no millionaires as everyone including the owner is working.
We didn't give the rich anything.

I have done told you. If you think a job isn't worth paying for, do away with that job.
Here is what's up with global warming. It's the same thing that is up with all those people you think are so great. They lie about anything and every thing, because greed has taken over their entire thought system. It works like this. I could destroy the world with my product/oil, but... the almighty dollar. I know these pills I'm pushing are addictive, I'll cover that fact up, it doesn't matter how many people I addict and kill with them. Which If I were anyone other than a multi billion dollar company, I'd be doing some real time in prison, but hey...The almighty dollar, is what's important. And the list goes on and on and on.
I have no Idea where all these small businesses are. Just about everything is major corporations. But there are a few small companies out there. I shop at a small grocery chain. I know a guy who owns 5 lumber stores, I have known him for about 12 years. Pays his employees 12-15 bucks a hour, most being around 12. The guy is making so much money, he never noticed his accountant was stealing 100k a year from him, for 10 years. And it was shear dumb luck he found out. She took off 1 day that someone called about their bill. So he started nosing through the paper work, but had she been there. He still wouldn't know to this day.
Oh yes we did and do all the time. 2 trillion for banks. To big to fail, both republican and democrat did that. People on Forbes 500 get farm subsidies. Bidenomics just gave away a couple billion to billion dollar companies. They should have called it Reagannomics. You must have not have read the articles on how the rich avoid taxes. As that little trick of not paying themself a pay check, netted some of them a stimulus check. The list goes on and on.
You just have it in your head, the rich are the best people in the world, and it's exactly the opposite. Do a search on what people brains do during a MRI, when asked to think about money. The human brain is the biggest drug dealer in the world, Money induces your brain to release drugs into your system, probably because money = power. And we know for a fact a addict will do anything for a fix.
