I honestly haven't learned much about the cosmos since Michio Kaku explained M-theory on the gogglebox.

So, are we already inside the great attractor to some degree?

I would've said so if I was 10, these days I'm not so sure. My best way of explaining it in the past was it's a bit like Pandora's box in reverse. We're all falling into the sinkhole. An idea that the inevitable conclusion of existence is to fall back into a point of singularity.

Clearly gravity has proximity effects, and is probably quantized like most everything else, but we don't know (can't know?) the bounding limits, even theoretically.

Like a Choo Choo train to the center of existence! My thinking was once everything hits the event horizon or beyond (wherever that is) then something like a big bang happens.

But yeah maybe we just need bigger lenses for the light and just maybe there's no reason for a beginning or end either with the membrane theory.

What is the same time?

From some theoretical stand-points, everything, even past and future, near and far, events, are simultaneous. A large and immutable 'block' of whatever absolutely everything is (we could probably call it multiversal spacetime)...

In theory the event horizon is timeless right? My thinking is it doesn't matter when you enter because relatively speaking we're going to arrive at the same time. That all depends if we're going to the same place though doesn't it?

The answers don't fit my brain, but what fun!

I'll be honest, I'm not that clever and grasping the order of the cosmos can be a bit of a mind bender to think about for me. I just see it as a puzzle that everyone else has somewhat simplified into one of those 4-piece jigsaw puzzles. If I headbutt it enough it WILL fit!

It's why I like threads like this, I always wondered if existence is on repeat. It could be that everything is technically happening at once across endless realities which is a nice thought to me because somewhere Tom Jones is singing "what's new pussycat?" to a box somewhere.

We'll have to astra project our way out. The consciousness is mightier than the black hole.

Do you still have that spaghettified hand now that you're out? A memento? Sending despaghettification vibes your way.

Everything gets mangled when you travel light speed, even your age!

I thought we/you would age at the normal rate its just that everything/time outside of the light speed effect would be dilated? I think I read too much science, it's all merging into one time dilated hallucination.

I think before we jumped into the black hole we altered our state of mind!🍰

Did we see what we wanted to see or did we see what we did not want to see?

I see you found the eye we saw! The black hole had a grey sheep and it was staring at us! 👀

I have no problem looking it in the eye.

We looked it in its eye until it slobbered us with its black hole tongue.
