The use of the drug sparked controversy as many health specialists noted the lack of research or scientific evidence of its effectiveness against COVID-19.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorisation of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) in March 2020 but revoked it in June.

The drug was found in particular to cause severe side effects such as heart rhythm abnormalities.

Not really any wonder considering Hydroxychloroquine does not reduce deaths from COVID-19.

Nor did the drug reduce the number of people hospitalised that went on to require mechanical ventilation down to the disease.

When they say "may", you know it's a coverup for something else.
17000 people may have died because they combed their hair in the morning.

It's never one of their grand ideas that killed people.

I spent 13 years on hydroxychloroquine for autoimmune.
Just got off it last summer.
I had no problems.
Everyone I know who went on it had no problems.
There was nothing from the doctor when I was on it about side effects.

I question any study that makes the claim Hydroxychloroquine killed 17,000 people.
My own experience, along with knowing lots of people on it, say that it's a safe and effective drug.

I suppose that there could be some people who had reactions.
But for the VAST MAJORITY of people ... it's just fine and has been for decades.

From the article:

the results should be taken with caution as it is a statistical analysis. One limitation of the study was that in France, Turkey, and Belgium, in particular, data concerning exposure to the drug was scarce

Finding that most people dying from COVID-19 are vaccinated does not mean vaccines don’t work

Hmmm... 🔍😐

It's not just your anecdotal experience. This is its historical profile. It IS a safe and effective drug. The "studies" purporting to prove it didn't help with Covid were so shoddy they could only have been done that badly on purpose.

A typical practice was to purposefully not follow the treatment regimen. Something like this:

--Doctors in other countries are reporting it helps if given to patients in the first 48-72 hours of displaying symptoms?
--Let's do a study. We'll wait until they're about to die and administer it, in half the recommended dose.
--Oh, the patient still died. This "proves" HCQ doesn't work. AND we can also falsely claim it kills people. Big Pharma will be thrilled.

This is not science. This is propaganda.

HCQ has been used safely for decades. If it was this deadly it would've been discovered long before now.

The majority of authors in this paper were French academics. There was a Canadian. I see no links to Moderna or Pfizer.

HQC was touted as a therapeutic but was proven to be ineffective well before the immunizations were available.

This study is just putting some statistics behind the bad advice given at the time by 'the conspirosphere' and supplements marketers like the FLCCC.

HQC itself is a relatively safe medication, however, it did little to protect anyone from COVID-19, and there was a higher ratio of deaths among patients hospitalized with COVID-19 who were being treated with HQC, than the ratio among patients who were not treated with HQC.

Good morning shill for Big Pharma. I'm sure they appreciate you continuing to donate your time for their profits like this. I admire your dedication.

It was called a death sentence.

I had a 35-year-old niece who died after they put her on a ventilator. Her Covid was not that bad. Shocked the family.

The hospital wanted big payouts from the government and got it.

Studies about it working or not on Covid and it killing thousands of people are two entirely different things.

Any study on how deadly boiled fruit and tonic water was prior to the vaccine sales pitch?

Yes we all know you'll unscientifically cling to old, onesy twosy studies supporting your preferred Big-Pharma-friendly narrative while ignoring the larger dataset, as Kenzo posted, the majority of studies show it was effective.

Keep up the science denial
