Ben's research on disaster cycles is excellent in my opinion. We're right on time for some SERIOUS cataclysmic earth changes!

In the 58 years I've been on this planet, there have been quite a few Doomsday predictions and, as we can see, they've all been wrong. I expect this one will pass just like the rest.

Agreed.

And yet, not every doomsday is preceded by a sun-bright flash and/or a deafening roar.

Some start with the faintest flap of a butterfly wing.

Evidence 2020.

I didn't notice any doomsday in 2020.

You'll have to be more specific.

I was just noticing how many volcanoes are erupting, NEWLY erupting in the last week or so. Although not rare, it was surprising to me. And they're all over the planet.

ETA:

Indonesia

People take shelter at a community hall in Candipuro village following Mount Semeru's volcanic eruption in Lumajang, East Java on December 4, 2022. Compared to the 2021 eruption, PVMBG chief Hendra Gunawan said the agency saw the potential for a larger volume of magma from the eruption

Italy - Stromboli volcano 12/4/22

USA, Hawaii - Mauna Loa Eruption 11/30/22 - 1st time in 38 years.

Nothing to report abnormal at Yellow Stone so far.

There are others though.

People generally don't live past a century so nobody has the perspective to appreciate these seemingly apocalyptic phenomena are actually quite ordinary and just take a long time compared to the average human lifespan. Ergo, DOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The reason I doubt this kinda stuff is that they say "We have evidence it happened 12,000 years ago " and then call it a cycle.

Ok, do they have evidence it happened every 12,000 ? Can they show it happened at 24, 36 and 48,000 years ? If not, then it's not a cycle and just more Doom Porn wrapped up in some scientific sounding jargon.

If they do, then I'll pay attention.

At this point, I would not be as worried about something catastrophic wiping us out from the universe, as I am concerned about the psychopathic world leaders, who have nuclear weapons, and don’t seem to be afraid to use them. If this planet is going to go boom, I doubt it will be from some wayward space debris, we have a lot more pressing problems on earth to concentrate on.

I agree for the most part. But every once in a while, nature throws a curve ball and knocks us on our ass. Those are what I worry about, albeit not too much because, hey, I want to enjoy my moments. The obvious we can kind of prepare for. It's those surprises that can be much more challenging.

I have found information on micro novae but they only occure on the poles of white dworf stars. Our sun is not a white dworf.

Has anyone else found any links to information on this solar micro nova?

BINGO. And none of the doomsday porn clowns can answer any questions like this:

12 k years is the blink of an eye in geological terms, if this event is as devastating as Ben and others say how are Humans still alive and kicking on this planet if this event happens so damn often? Bar being off planet it would be the only real way to survive. Going underground via bunkers are even high up in the mountains wouldnt do anything. Ive read about the type of destruction they claim happens every 12k years. Then how in the hell are Humans still alive and not extinct? Furthermore clown Ben is supposedly building a survival ranch in the mid west or some place I hear, per say how is this supposed to survive mile high tidal waves and 1k mph winds.

Further more there are natural structures standing that wouldnt be if there was crustal displacement every 12 k years.

Clown Ben makes money off fools.

Does anyone have anything to share about the actual research presented?

Has anyone read even 1% of the global research papers on the subject that Ben has?

Like a few here, seen all sorts of doomsday events come and go over the years....but we're still here.

If there is something in this then one things certain; there's nothing any of us can do about it so why worry?

Just carry on doing the best we can in the time we have available.

I believe they have come up with the cycles by reading core samples which are magnetized in opposite directions, showing signs of pole reversals at estimated 12k year intervals based off of sediment layer thickness and carbon dating.
There has to be a massive margin of error though.
