This aircraft, Air Canada 898 was earlier squawking 7500 (hijack), and is now squawking 0000 (military intercept request). Link to live tracking.

Ran across this, thought someone might have a little more insight into what it could mean or if it is self explanatory.

I thought i saw it turn a full circle, figured it was just the image correcting itself or something.
I wonder if the erratic flight pattern is due to the wind over the ocean?

Nah the plane turned around and looked like it was heading back for about a minute. Then turned back around back on course.

Pay no heed guys, it's probably just a false flag attempt to drag Canada into the whole Syria debacle.

Whatever is going on, it sure is strange.

I hope this is one of those anomalies that ATS picks up on ,makes into a big deal and it turns out to be nothing.

Side note : I'm not sure what the normal flight path to london would be but it appears off course..

Hey guys, just saw this thread. I'm watching the live plane locator too. If it really did make a loop, I'd imagine it'd show up on the blue line right? I mean a plane going 500 mph can't do a 180 turn on a dime. Definitely looks squirrelly though. My guess is the turn arounds are tracking glitches.

Also the 0000 military intervention call. Do you think they'll send a fighter jet out to check on the plane and see if they can make visual contact with the pilot?

This is a little alarming, do you have a link where we all can listen or read Heathrow's attempt in contacting this flight?

I wonder how off course they are. Looks like they are heading pretty far north but I'm not familiar with the usual flight path.
