But, if you pursue nukes, AND make threats to your neighbors, you have to expect a little global backlash, and that's what Un got.

In the past, previous US administrations (of both parties), have simply given NK food, fuel, and money to just simmer down. It's been a pretty lucrative business for NK, and one Un had no reason to expect to change.

The election of Trump changed that. Because he doesn't favor the status quo of paying Kim off, so now he's faced with needing food, fuel, and money to keep his army happy enough to not overthrow him. So, he's desperate, and coming begging to the table....(but of course, can't be SEEN doing so, hence all this global smoke and mirrors to preserve Un's image while he plays ball.....)

Of course (not so secretly), he's going to keep on doing exactly what he always does, but the WORLD will see it differently, and perception is key.

For now some US sanctions should be lifted from what I can see. There is still a long way to go.

If WW3 does happen it wont be by North Korea, it will have to be by a group that is overlooked, like a surprise attack.

When the Norks start plunging missiles off the coast of Hawaii, then ill be concerned. But i dont think Kim will ever do that, he doesnt have the cahones. Maybe if another Obama type with weak foreign policy gets elected in, maybe he will take that next step

North Korea is incapable of doing any real damage to the US if they can even do anything.

In interviews with defected North Koreans, they say Kim knows he can't win and is just scared of losing his control over the country. Over there, they paint Americans as long nose killers and are taught to hate Americans. Kim's excuse for all the benefits received by the United States is that "they are scared of North Korea so they give us money".

NK is full of hot air. Nothing will ever happen there. They are out of funding and out of money. I would not worry to much of NK threats and talks ever.
