I had similar letters/memos - - - sent to me when I worked in an open space corporate office.

True story:

At work, I went into the office and asked the boss if the company paid for any type of schooling. He said, "No, why?"

I replied, "Because Bob needs to go to school to learn how to whistle! All day long he whistles one note while listening to music. He whistles that one note louder and softer, but it's the same damn note all day long!"

The boss told Bob what I said. He laughed. No more whistling. Thank gawd!

I think everyone should be able to make stupid noises, hum and whistle in the office... but I should also have the right to choke you out when you get on my nerves.
