Just had a good "rattle" in San Francisco. felt like a good 4.0 strength not yet determined. It was on the Hayward Fault! Anyone else feel it?

I guess you all have figured out by now that the epicenter of the New Madrid quakes is close to that latitude as well, right? *gulp*

Yup. I am trying not to over-react and now assume every quake on that latitude is connected....but ya gotta admit it makes ya wonder!!!

Not a good sign to have three earthquakes along the NM Fault in such quick succession. I think the increase in activity is more alarming than the magnitudes.
I sincerely hope this isn't a portent of something worse, just having read some hype about Oct. 28th lol

Normally I would say, "Oh no big deal, just another earthquake."
But the past 48 hours has been very very active.
And as other users said, 3 earthquakes on the same LAT in quick succession, makes me think oh noez.

And has it not been roughly 13 hours between each of these, CO, VA, and CA? Is that significant?

I don't wanna feel like a fear monger but this is getting pretty crazy! Why do I have the feeling that the Big One is yet to come?

Because the big one IS coming, and over due. We all get that feeling.

Though, for all of you wishing for it to get over with already, I'd beg you not to have such wishful thinking. I live 10 minutes from the fault in Southern California. There are things I wanna do, such as have a relatively normal life, have kids, get married, etc.

I can't do those things when a 9.0+ hits and I'm forced to survive, if I don't die in the quake itself.

It doesn't help when the whole world wishes for my state to fall into the ocean.

And just to follow that up, I checked with a latitude map and the town of New Madrid is 36.6 degrees latitude!

Another on the same latitude line? What is going on? Something smells fishy to me? Should I dare say, where next? Or which one will have another bigger than the previous?

Is there any way to go back in time to find how many other quakes have been on the same line? Just curious if this has been going on, and no one noticed, or if it is new.
