If these aliens are troublemakers and decide to show their butts in the southern US, maybe they're the ones who need to prepare for us.

We're hospitable, as long as you mind your manners.

This is like someone going into the bathroom and flushing the toilet after it has already overflowed and the poop is all over the floor.

Give me a break. We are so vastly beyond this crap, albeit not publicly, that it just 'stinks' of bureaucratic incompetence.

How times had changed.

I remember a time when if someone utters something like thatrelated to UFOs and such, he would have been deemed mentally unstable, danger to society and might just wake up one day a pull a pistol on a congresswoman.

At worse, he would have been reported to the DHS to be kept tabs on, and moderators pleaded by hypocrites to ban such members' posting, or placed in the hoax forum.

I wonder now who are or had been actually the mentally unstable ones back then?

Interesting reads, thanks for posting the associated links. It seems like Hawking’s overused Columbus/alien-conqueror analogy borders on pessimistically irrational for a cosmologist; perhaps, too much Star Trek(?). Even if they come in peace within the next couple of years, he’ll be pushing the century mark before admitting his mistake.

We can all rest easy knowing that the UN braintrust has this base covered. I guess Stanton Friedman wasn’t interested. No disrespect to Dr. Mazlan Othman, but my conscience would rest easier if someone with a greater empirical, as well as, academic pedigree represented our species. This seems to be more of an on-call position than a 9-5 job. In fact, Dr. Michio Kaku would have the social skills, analytical open-mindedness, and experiential depth to fill this position and, at least for now, it wouldn’t interfere with his day job(s).

At the moment all I keep hearing on the radio is presenters talking and arguing amongst themselves about this topic. It seems that someone has hit a fast forward button and everything that has been deemed nothing but science fiction and fantasy is now being taken as actual reality. LHC,WORMHOLES, UFO'S,EBE'S e.t.c.

The phrases I am hearing now are:

First we get the drakes equation.

"Look how many stars there are in the galaxy, we can't be the only ones out here"

Secondly we get what I like to call the condescending 'snap and shut'

"If there really are advanced intelligent beings out there why would they fly all this way just to see us"

This phrase really gets my goat because it is clear that the person saying it has an agenda and has not looked in to this topic deep enough. However of course to the average listener who hasn't done any research on the topic will agree and carry on his/her daily activities.

The truth is, something is coming, no matter what way you look at it, something is indeed on our doorstep. I for one feel more than anxious about it and will not be greeting them with open arms. I am more convinced than ever that what is heading our way will change our lives and I am not talking in a good way.

IMHO The ones at the top are about to be removed and replaced, but at what cost to humanity?

- I want to add that once upon a time this thread would have got 60+ flags all the way to the front page, oh how things are changing.

Look at his specialism - evolutionary paleobiology. Do you think he knows more about the pre-history of man than conventional academia is generally prepared to acknowledge?

The Anuna 'gods' are coming home... Assuming they ever left in the first place

I'm uncomfortable with this, as the UN isn't to be trusted, as for any other power-based organization.

I wouldn't be surprised if they said there were aliens and that they were hostile, and that there would be martial law and we would never see any actual aliens. First there will be 'disclosure' that aliens are hostile then suddenly things change. Sort of like saying there are terrorists everywhere but when you look outside the window there's none.

Earth-based power elements will shoot first, because they are soiling their pants at the prospect of total loss of power if a higher authority comes by.

Earth does not have an intelligent species. We have been destroying our biosphere burning hundreds of Trillions of barrels of crude oil and quadrillions of tons of coal/natural gas. Our Oxygen levels are so low birds have started dropping from the sky and the oceans sea life is washing up dead on the shores.

If aliens ever came I hope they annihilate mankind for being a planet destroying species lacking any intelligence.

This planet deserves better than us.

Lol

Actually I'd like to think that it should be stated "Debunkers must prepare to meet believers."
and me
In my personal dictionary;

Debunker is an egocentric-arrogant @ss, one who try to explain every single thing in this universe like they know it all.

Skeptic is one who want to believe or in my case "do believe," but still have much doubt about the authenticity and genuineness of evidence.

Are scientists believers in Aliens or ET's or are they just saying these things just in case they are wrong (they don't believe), and they want to save face?

It's coming sooner than most would like to believe. I think it will just happen one day in the near future. no announcements of any kind or prophecies before hand. one day...BANG it all changes.

That's how these things always happen. Look back into the past at "first contact" between many indigenous peoples of the world with the british/spanish back in the day and you'll see it evidenced there.

Well I don't think we need to prepare for contact, because they will not contact us. It is a waste of money. It could better be spent on other branches of science. Also I don´t see a reason to speculate or research what is going to happen on first contact, because simply first contact won´t happen.

First, if intelligent aliens exist, they will look just like us..

I hope this guy gets a shock one day.

seriously just check out the night skies for 10 minutes. they look just like stars at first glance but if you keep an eye on them for more than a second youll realize the light starts pulsing and changing colors a bit. then youll realize that they actually wiggle around in the sky and will literally jump around in different directions. theyre flying all over the place. i can't wait to meet them!

I know exactly what you're talking about. I might not be able to see them every night, but there have been a number of nights when if i wanted to i could go observe the sky for 30 minutes and see something strange. Star like lights that move very slowly, change directions and blink on and off every now and then.

I really don't understand how some people really just don't ever see them!

And i hope nobody takes that the wrong way, its just I've literally seen so many strange lights in the sky it's unbelievable...really i bet you don't believe me!!

It is indeed exciting times to be around and i will not be surprised if ETs are found/make contact or their existence is confirmed officially.Indeed i remember in one of Tim Goods books back in the 90s that he stated he was told that there is an ongoing public education programme going on by not only the various governments that have come and gone but by certain ET races as well, that this goal is to slowly ,step by step or stepping stone agenda prepare the public to the reality of ET existence.Makes sense.

Yes it was in his book Ailen Liasion. Good read too. It was called Cosmic Journey and there was also going to be a roadshow around the USA of an exhibtition featuring a dead ailen and part of a genuine UFO. But this was cancelled due to socio-economic concerns and the politicians bailed out. Now i think Cosmic Journey II is in full swing and has been for a few years now. It does appear now that we are entering the End Game which will culminate in Disclosure and First Contact. I also beleive that a deal was done back post Roswell i think 1953 after the famous Holloman AFB encounter that Governments had been given 60 years to prepare us all for the reality of what is happening and now that time is up. So yes i do think the next few years are going to be very interesting indeed.
