Tell me this, weather experts, should there have been persistent contrails over central Texas today, Dec. 13th, and what is the forecast for tomorrow.
i believe it should be pretty simple, and the upside is you can prove that you know what you are talking about. Any weatherman worth his/her salt should be able to provide this data.

Looking at the temp and relative humidity, along with the atmospheric pressure, YES, the conditions in central Texas look to be conducive to contrail formation today.

Unfortunately, the sounding balloons are launched daily, so I honestly have no idea what the conditions will be tomorrow.

Just remember, the weather you experience at ground level is completely irrelevant to the weather conditions at 28,000 feet or above

Thanks for replying, but as anyone here in central Texas could tell you, the sky was clear all day. I saw a plane leave a normal contrail. Has the data changed much over the last few days?

"Central Texas"? I found the radiosonde data for the Midland, TX station. 13 December 12Z:

YOU tell us. What do you reckon, when you read the data there? It's quite obvious.

Keep in mind, the distances between those two reporting stations. (AND< only YOU know your exact location, relative to those two).

The atmosphere may vary greatly ---- it is tedious to research it, this way. Perhaps Oz or Essan know of a computer program that takes ALL soundings, and extrapolates them...and, perhaps, includes METARS, PIREPS too, when contrails actually form. The METAR may report the presence of cirriform clouds, which would mean that contrails are likely, too.

But, for the ballpark first look at prediction, you can use that weather balloon data, and plug it into this chart:

Like I said in my previous post, the conditions "look" to be conducive to persistent contrail formation.

Predicting contrail formation is typically done using weather balloon soundings and the Appleman Chart, but thats the catch, it's just a prediction, so it's not always going to be correct.

If you look at the chart, and apply the readings from the altitude roughly above 28,000 feet, you'll see that it lands in the "maybe contrails" category.

For those you think Chemtrails are Contrails produced by hot aircraft exhaust at high altitudes cooling to produce ice crystals, how do you explain this low flying plane laying down a huge Chemtrail..!!??

I was filming a HIGH Chemtrail spray day when I caught this Chemtrail Mega Sprayer laying down a massive chemtrail. Filmed during daylight hours using a Sony Hi8 with a 950nm IR filter and in Nightshot mode... Hence the Green color of the video.

What??? YOU are supposed to do the work!!

Hint: LOOK at the Relative Humidity. For both of those stations, it is fairly high, then plummets to low, as you near 300 Mb. In the teens. THEN, look at the temperatures. BASED on those readings, at your local time (0600)...darn I gave that away! ....based on that, at 300 Mb (30,000 feet) and above, it looks too dry for contrails.

THEN, look at Appleman. (NOT foolproof, but a guide). Of course, only YOU know if you're even near those locations....PLUS, those are readings at 12Zulu! (Know how to convert? I'll tell you...CST is six hours behind GMT).

So....WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE DAY? Did any weather fronts exist, that may have moved in, and altered the atmosphere, and especially the RH?? I haven't look at "PROG" charts, nor the other WX maps that would indicate anything...ALL I provided were the TWO station soundings.

A great deal of forecasting involves some EYEBALLS on location too, you know!!!



THIS is why you need to get of your high "chemtrail" horse and actually get out and learn some things about the real world.....

When an "expert" here can tell me that persistent contrails should be happening in my area, or should have been happening in my area, I might think they know what they are talking about. Not that I doubt that they may know something about weather phenomenon, but they try to pretend they know about everything that is happening in the sky.
This, I find absolutely incredible knowing what we know about our "government" and the corporations that control it.

It's not too complicated if you learn how to use it.
So maybe too complicated for you, is easy for others.
And your statement "normal contrail", shows you don't understand how it works at all. Really, it's been said over and over again:
THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO THINK A CONTRAIL EVAPORATES QUICKLY AND A "CHEMTRAIL" DOES NOT ARE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN "CHEMTRAILS". THE REST OF THE WORLD KNOWS ABOUT CLOUDS.

G. Edward Griffin is going to blow this whole thing open I believe. Or, he will settle it and prove the contrail crowd right, because he is working on a project to capture the "contrail".

Well, considering that even the most seasoned of aviators cannot tell the exact altitude of a plane with the naked eye, let alone an armchair warrior, your interpretation of altitude is honestly a moot point, therefore negating your claim.

How do you know he was below the altitude for contrail formation?.

I saw it come over my house, it was only between 5000 to 7,000 feet altitude tops... and if the next question is "How Do I know the altitude" I was in the Army.. Air Cav .. I flew enough to be able to judge altitudes accurately.

Air is MUCH clearer, in LA! (It always was a phenom, a "haze"...even early indigenous peoples mentioned it, in their lore..."Smokey Valley". There Are the "Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, too!! )
