when are we going to see a modern movie about aliens, taken from the alien perspective. say show a ship coming out of some type of warp drive, and having to discreetly come into our atmosphere, for abductions, playing tag with the air force, and generally having to deal with such a barbaric life form as us humans.
of course, you would have to have the hot female actress to play some type of leading physicist, but also some leading actors with some acting gravitas.

...the alien thing does seem to be quite the hot subject these days.

partly I think Hollywood is running out of villains. they have used up all the Evil Corporation / Gummint themes

Or they want to make a quick buck. If aliens want to invade us, what are they waiting for? For us to further develop to make it a fair fight?

District 9 is to be blamed for the Alien craze in 2011 oh yes and I guess Avatar having been the biggest box office hit ever in the history of mankind played a role in it too. imo.
