The point that the author of this post is trying to make is that we need to advance beyond the act of hugging in order to be worthy of alien contact. My point is that alien contact has already been going on since the beginning of man's history. Possibly, an advancement of the human race beyond the point of needing to hug will increase that contact or make alien contact more open, but it is not a prerequisite.
