Well Boon, to me your explaination is much more plausable that what we have received from the MSM. I think your right. Contrail from an airliner? Don't drink the kool-aid!

I cannot say for sure but I can take a good guess
and say since the US Missile was heading inland toward
the coast then it was probably a US Navy Ship that launched
the knock-down missile. And they have built in radar onboard
the ship for tracking and targeting. As you can see the big puff
I call an explosion is on the far side of the original missile
contrail. It is behind it. And the 2nd contrail is also behind it.
That is why part of the shadow of the original contrail blacks
out part of the explosion.

Cheap chinese missile 1, expensive US missile 0.
Funny thread this is.

Nope, still need more proof that is indeed a chinese missile.

Look at this site and it will explain why you think it's being launched from the the ocean,

wattsupwiththat.com...

Clearly shows misconception.

The airliner footage fits the exact flight path and time of Boeing 757 America West Flight 808. The video footage aired on TV was edited. The independent footage shows that the contrail dissipates as the airliner approaches the coast. It then continues on an easterly heading as it transits at 37,000 feet onto to Phoenix. A weather satellite has also detected the airliner contrail.

Well considering no one agrees with that EXACT theory anymore, where do you stand now??
The story has changed to UPS flight 902..Damn shame all the experts wasted their time proving it was flight 808..

Further independent footage has now emerged showing that the ballistic missile theory is ridiculous. The cameraman who filmed the original footage admits that he filmed it for a continuous 10 minutes. No ballistic missile is going to remain in sight for that length of time.

Chinese Dong Feng 21D has an effective range of over 2,000 KM
and it will take longer than 10 minutes to accomplish that feat.
So you are wrong, it can remain in flight that long.

Lets look at the reality..
If you believe the experts on ATS then that contrail is OVER 160 miles away..
Look at the base of that contrail...
How wide is it considering it's over 160 miles away?
What kind of jet engine can produce a trail that wide?

Well done.
Yes it was a Chinese missile.
Further intel and info will come out soon.
China laughs in the face of obama.
Disinfo in full swing, peoples opinions mean nothing.

While I think the theory is plausible, the same as the other thread you made,De-Facto State of War: US vs China, it could be totally different.

Every bit of Chinese info I dig up, is putting the US in front as the ones who shoot the rocket. They compare Russia, USA and themselves as nations that are possible and tough enough to do such a thing.

Now why I think it could be different. In your other thread you were talking about the UFO's in china being the US showing off and now the chinese with their rocket. Just turn it around,....

It was China showing off their UFO's (makes sense; your most advanced militairy crafts stops airports in your country, so if anything happens you have total control, if it crashes, it crashes on your ground so it won't be compromised.) Now the US shoot a we-don't-know rocket that does something-weird-to-show-of-to-China again within the shooters own range, so harder to compromise.

Well enough speculation, I just wanted to say; I'm not sure it is chinese.

Where did you read it was 160 miles away? You are adding something to this thats not fact. Almost as bad as many people talking about chinese subs surfacing in our waters. It did happen but it was a few years back.

For anyone interested look up. the U.S.S kittyhawk and see the first altercation we had with them. It also involved the kittyhawk but in there waters.

So please show me where it says the distance of this object.

Sorry, can I just clear this up, so you believe that the Chinese shot a missile at the U.S and the U.S shot it down with their own but haven't declared war, even though the chinese are firing missiles at them and have been for a while? All this but no war and no word from either side? Is this not getting a little bit silly? Did they sneak through the U.S naval defense in their stealth submarine and then fire and the escape from U.S waters?

A war behind the publics back? The U.S could total china in a matter of minutes, why would china be firing missiles at them?

Hello Boondock. If it is a missile (which I think it is) then the exhaust is
called a plume and not a contrail. I made the same mistake in calling
it a contrail.

alrighty then

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/e489ae1e0d53.jpg[/atsimg]

notice that is NOT sunlight reflecting off the nose of an aircraft
as the sun was directly behind Phage's eastbound jet but it's still
almost completely round. Exhaust portals on missiles are round.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/06b3b9d9c5ba.jpg[/atsimg]
and my green line in this pic takes into account of wind drift

www.liveleak.com...

also retired Army Lt. Gen McTierney said it was a missile on TV.

also a mod here at ATS is married to a controller at NORAD
and he said he saw it LAUNCH.

now couple all the above with my OP diagram and the fact that
China has test fired a missile at US before:

www.time.com...

and for me, the writing is on the wall.
It's a Chinese missile.
And it was a warning to the US
at the G-20.

No, I didn't say either.

I said I think the Chinese launched a missile off our coast
but it was NOT aimed at the US Mainland.
It was aimed out into the Pacific.

And I didn't say the US shot it down,
I said they ATTEMPTED to shoot it down
but missed. But it did get close enough
to it to knock it off it's course but the Chinese
missile corrected itself in flight.
