Palin is a liar, a hypocrite, a quitter and a complete imbecile.

And those are her good points.

What some, such as the OP have failed or chosen not to mention, is that the President has nothing to do with this, to suggest otherwise is merely dishonest at best.

The Democrats scramble for position against the GOP, the GOP scrambles for position against the Democrats, but it's rarely the actual politicians involved at all, it's the thousands of lobbyists and special interests for both groups who do this.

Anyone, Democrat or GOP, who believes that Palin poses any threat whatsoever, is being ridiculous, she is simply too ignorant, and not only about political issues, she is a simpleton with no credibility on any topic of significance.

NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING would please the Democrats more, than to have Sarah Palin as their GOP opponent.

If so Obama could better give money too NASA and finally send man back in space, and develope FTL technology. Create alternative energy source (not wind , solar ect because we haven't got use for that in deep space exploration) and stop the use of oil , not for the climate farge but for people to see that the USA isn't in war because of oil.

I still don't know enough about Sarah Palin .. hmm .. is it just a show?

Can someone please tell me - do the media hate Sarah Palin? I don't watch TV - don't have it - can someone please advise me why everyone says she is irrelevent, and so on - is that what the media is saying?

Personally, I just replaced the link between Palin's name and person in my head with that of Peggy Hill from the show "King of the Hill"... and nothing was lost in the transition.

I don't see why the Dem's would waste their time with her. I really don't think she's worth the effort. There are many things that would better deserve the spotlight. So my answer to this side show is this....

This is a distraction. Just keep focusing on all your nonsense and trash TV. Just keep focusing on your "rabble rabble rabble" tantrums. Keep focusing on how evil and just plain un-American everyone who disagrees with you is. While you're being distracted, we'll all get one step closer to being totally and irreparably screwed. Thanks for your participation. The powers that be thank you. The talking heads you spend so much time listening to or complaining about certainly thank you. Congrats on being a tool for division.

A president asking for money to go against a book author?

I'll have to admit Obama needs to consider his priorities better. This is silly. her opinion is just, her opinion. She's not a politician, she's just promoting her book.

edit to help the op: l.a. times article

[edit on 21-11-2009 by Seiko]

while i guess what you're saying is technically true, you have to admit that she could still be a potential challenger in the next election. just because she is now also an author does not mean that she should no longer be considered a possible future opponent. she could possibly be planning something and this is just a step in the process. to forget about her completely would be a big mistake on obama's part.

This is the email that I received from the DNC...

Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn.

It's dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term "Death Panels" -- and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists.

Whatever lie comes next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.

As we approach the final sprint on health reform, we can't afford more deception and delay. We need to be ready for anything -- and have the resources to respond with ads, events, and calls to Congress when the attacks come.

So we're setting a big goal: $500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies. Please chip in $5 or more to help reach our goal.

Please donate

Earlier this month, Palin publicly said that she hopes health reform will be "dead on arrival." And since then, she's been working fiercely toward that goal.

On Tuesday, Palin went on Rush Limbaugh's radio show where she outrageously -- and falsely -- suggested that Americans could "face jail time as punishment" if they don't buy insurance.

Palin has many more interviews scheduled on Hannity and other conservative shows in the next few weeks, with more platforms to go after the President. As soon as she does, the rest of our opponents will likely parrot those attacks.

We need to be prepared. And we're counting on you help. Can you chip in $5 or more?

my.democrats.org...

Thanks,

Mitch

This isn't from Obama, this is from the DNC.

Guess Ole Mitch hasn't bothered to read the House Health Care Bill, cause if I not mistaken, that's exactly what it says.

He's the President! Why does he need "donations" to fight "lies"? All he's got to do is call a press conference and dismiss the lies. He's got the media at his beck and call. It is part of their job to report what he says.

Better yet! Why doesn't he take her out for a coffee or a cold beer and discuss it with her! I hear that is the diplomatic way to handle those kinds of situations.

These two clowns of the divide and conquer circus should get together and have a beer, then put on big shoes, red noses, goofy make-up and rainbow afros before twisting out donkey & elephant balloon animals made out of condoms.. to be sold on e-bay to raise funds, of course.

Then at least we could get a hearty laugh out of the sad fact these two freaks are considered important, or even worse..."leaders"... if they're going to put on a show, at least it could be entertaining.. not the usual farce.

If space aliens who knew nothing of earth landed here tomorrow, I'll bet they'd be aghast that masses give money to support two sociopaths that represent the political parties that are ruining the country, killing innocent souls and live in luxury as the masses fight over crumbs.

Exactly! It only took 2 words (hope, change) to sucker 52.9% of voters into electing a guy with little experience, questionable character and an inability to speak coherently without a teleprompter. Now he's afraid that someone with a similar big personallity like Sarah Palin might be able to use 2 words like Dreams and New Directions to pull those same people away.

I really don't know why the DNC should worry about Palin. There is no way that America would vote for her. She would quit as president a year into the job.

America doesn't like a quitter. Sure she might be a MILF but it would be useless to vote for her cause she wouldn't last a year in office, she takes the media too personally.
