Hello ATS!

The Houthi Ansar Allah movement has tested a highly lethal hypersonic missile in Yemen and intends to introduce such missiles into its military arsenal. The relevant information is published by RIA Novosti with reference to a military source close to the Shiite organization.

“The group’s missile forces have successfully tested a missile that can reach speeds of up to Mach 8 and runs on solid fuel; Yemen intends to begin manufacturing it for use during attacks in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as well as against targets in Israel.” .

Military forces in northern Yemen have upgraded their missiles and drones, modifying explosive warheads to double their destructive power, he said.

There are no other sources yet confirming information about the Houthis having hypersonic weapons.

I would like to note that currently only a few countries on the planet have successfully tested hypersonic weapons. In particular, this applies to Russia, China, Iran and, with a high degree of probability, North Korea. Even the United States has not yet been able to create hypersonic missiles that would pass all the tests established by the protocols. Thus, it turns out that the United States has lagged behind the Houthis in the development of hypersonic weapons, if, of course, the information from a military source close to the organization is correct.

The media have already reported that the United States has lagged behind in the development and creation of hypersonic weapons. This was stated by US Senator Angus King.

According to him, the United States will have to make up a lot. King believes this should be a priority.

Thank you.

Well...that does it. Time to turn Yemen into a glass factory...for 🌎 peace of course.

Gee... I wonder whoo?...who would have an interest in selling something like to the Houthi's? Errr...Russia via Iran?

Hmm yeah, I guess the Houthis will get paid to test these missiles out. Regardless of the cost. A good target for Houthis would be a carrier. Hit a carrier and the whole Mid East would be dancin in the streets.

Glass deck/ground makes for good Michael Jackson moves.

Kind regards,

Your admin has nothing to do with it.

Two points:

First, per the OP, this supposed "hypersonic missile" they have developed runs on solid fuel, which means that it has no means of throttle control: it basically just a standard ballistic rocket.

Second, Virtually ALL ballistic missiles are capable of hypersonic speeds.

The "trick", the thing that makes the hypersonic platforms in development by the major powers so advanced, is not the fact that those platforms are incredibly fast.

It's the fact that they can maneuver at those hypersonic velocities to avoid interception.

Quite possibly.
The fact is that proxy war is a dance that can be done together))).
Now the Russian media are full of reports that General Surovikin, known as “General Armageddon”, the creator of the defensive “Surovikin Line” in Zaporozhye, is creating the Libyan and Arabian Corps with the help of the Wagner PMC. The Houthis are supposedly part of the Arabian Corps. Naturally, they will be armed with modern weapons.

Well, the Russian hypersonic fiasco hasn't really been very successful whilst used in Ukraine, so maybe Russia is trying to off load it to the Houthi rebels, who can try to use it against defenceless ships. It may have a higher success rate I suppose. It appears Russia is all about raising the War status across the entire world.

That is very true and has been pointed out before many times. These hypersonic missiles aren't this 'new' tech that they're made out to be.

I found some footage of them being tested by the Houthis

Why would they need hypersonic missiles to take out oil tankers and cargo ships? LoL

Also, hypersonic missiles are not exactly the be-all and end-all you assume they are.

So, Russia is arming terrorists who attack civilian shipping?

Something to be proud of?

By the way, most ballistic missiles are "hypersonic".

sounds like even more of a reason to pound terrorist bases.

^^ THAT.

So the Houthis tested a hypersonic missile.
They obviously couldn't make it themselves.
Had to get it from Iran or Russia.
Iran and Russia arm terrorists who attack civilians and civilian shipping.
Lovely.

There is already a logical error in your comment. Yes, any hypersonic missile is ballistic. But not every ballistic missile is hypersonic, especially with an evasive mode.
A hypersonic missile is a ballistic missile that flies at a speed greater than or equal to 5 Mach or 6000 km/h or 1.6 km/sec. Accordingly, air defense missiles must have even greater speed for interception. That's the whole breakdown on the topic.

To me, attempts to declare hypersonic missiles as simple ballistic missiles are reminiscent of the attempts of those countries that are technologically incapable of creating such a thing, to simply declare themselves winners. It’s like if it’s impossible to create not an old piece of junk, but a modern battle tank, simply announce that, since both tanks and bicycles have wheels, produce 10,000 bicycles, but declare that they have created 2 tank armies. And still be proud of it))))))

Some "questionable" (cough!) Stuff from one of your sources:

"At the same time, former US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswami predicted the end of the United States in the event of war with Russia and China . He explained this opinion by the fact that Russia and China have well-developed military space forces, while the United States can neither effectively defend against attacks from space nor launch strikes themselves."
