This Ukrainian “freedom group” that went on some suicide mission here, seems it helped secure Putin’s win even more so.

Congratulations.

Seems you're having difficulty understanding the articles people have posted?
These are Russian people fighting against oppression and fighting against the Russian military.

I'm just watching for 1 thing do they start getting defections from Russias military. If they start joining the fight we could see the beginning of a regime change. If they do not Russian army will redeploy and take this area back.

This makes me wonder if that is the reason they are not sending troops afraid they may join them?

The other thing is apparently the chechens think they have enough force to take on kadyrov as they seem to want him to step on up and fight them. Not sure if this is just bravado typical for chechens or they have a significant force there.

So you’re saying these are Russian people attacking its own people, military and territory?

Wagner was the potential beefier situation, which was squashed within hours not surprisingly.

This? Is obviously supported and orchestrated by Zelensky and co.

Obviously?

How so?

That's not what the articles and statements would tend to suggest?

I see you can't actually be bothered about looking into who are fighting in these new attacks then?

I also read that local partisans are joining however they seem to be occupying small villages so I don't think they could possibly be gaining any significant numbers from them.

What I can't figure out is why Putin has not sent in troops to clear them out. Either he's scared they will join them or he wants to make sure Moscow is protected and doesn't want to send troops for a minor incursion. However I think eventually he will need to as the longer they occupy this area the worse the optics look for him.

He has finally admitted it's occuring during a speech at the Kremlin today and also stated they're Russian forces - less than 24 hours ago he was claiming they were Ukranian and had been defeated at the border.

“There is a lot to do and we will do everything which depends on us,” he said at a televised meeting at the Kremlin. “Of course, the primary task is to ensure safety. There are different ways to do this. They are not easy, but we will do it.”

Guardian live

I think the evacuation is so they can launch a bigger counter attack as their forces are slowly being overwhelmed or surrendering at the moment.

Ukraine seem to have their eyes set on re-taking Crimea next and have crippled Russian oil production so Russia is limited where it can redeploy troops from.

Statement released today by the Russian Liberation Forces.

Joint statement by the Legion "Freedom of Russia", the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion on the results of a limited military operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Our liberation movement once again demonstrated the strength and power of the spirit and weapons of the Russian volunteers and the weakness of the Putin regime. Together with our comrades, we proved to the whole world that Putin is losing control over the situation more and more every day and is no longer able to protect even the borders of his own country.

The Russian militia liberated settlements from the Putin regime in just a few days. Putin’s army lost a huge amount of equipment and over a thousand of its soldiers, whom they threw in panic to be slaughtered under our guns. But as a result, even at a critical moment for his power - the days of the presidential elections - the entire Putin army was unable to resist us. The Kremlin failed to hold elections in areas where real war was taking place.

Citizens of the Belgorod and Kursk regions did not go to the polling stations under the bombs of Putin's aircraft and artillery fire. No one in their right mind will be able to claim after this that Putin was “elected” legally.

Vladimir Putin has lost the remnants of his legitimacy, power is slipping from his hands. He controls fewer and fewer processes in Russia, Russians see this and more and more compatriots are joining our ranks. Soon we will go to other cities.

We call on Russians from all countries, people of all nationalities to join us and fight together against the Putin dictatorship. Only with arms in hand, being together, we will definitely win and create a new Russia: a strong, peaceful and respected country, of which there is no shame in being a citizen.

Our fight continues! There will be new victories!

The RVC issued a statement on the Moscow attack via Telegram.

"Terror against civilians is a long-time favorite tactic of Vladimir Putin. It does not matter which country’s population suffers from its use. Since the beginning of Putin’s rise to power, Russia has been accompanied by terrorist attacks - explosions of three houses on Kashirskoe Highway, Volgodonsk, Nord-Ost, Ryazan Sugar, explosions in the metro and the Wings youth festival. And all these events have always been used as a pretext for even greater terror: wars in Chechnya and Dagestan, the introduction of draconian laws, a total restriction of freedoms, and an uncontrolled expansion of the powers of the security forces.

A very important detail: Moscow and the Moscow Region are saturated with an unprecedented number of CCTV cameras, facial recognition systems, the “Safe City”, “Stream” systems. Due to some absurdity, all these systems failed at once and let through either 5 or 20 heavily armed and equipped terrorists. The all-seeing Eye of the FSB literally today reported on the arrest of the “RDK cell” and lazily put teenagers armed with axes and sticks on the floor, and literally a few hours later it oversaw the entry of full-fledged terrorists into one of the most famous concert halls in Russia.

The fire that started was not extinguished for an hour, the riot police and special forces were “in a hurry” like Akhmatova’s soldiers in Rostov-on-Don... Today, shortly before the terrorist attack, Peskov said that now there is a war going on, not a military military unit, although from the very beginning of the war this term was strictly prohibited."

Thats a very interesting statement from the first line onwards! It does appear many believe that it could be a Putin attack on his own people.

The Moscow apartment bombings in 1999 set a precedent for how far Putin was willing to go to get his own way.

The bombings terrorized Russia. The Russian authorities blamed Chechen rebels and thereby galvanized popular support for a new war in Chechnya. President Boris Yeltsin and his entourage were thoroughly hated for their role in the pillaging of the country. Putin, the head of the FSB, had just been named Yeltsin’s prime minister and achieved overnight popularity by vowing revenge against those who had murdered innocent civilians. He assumed direction of the war and, on the strength of initial successes, was elected president easily.

Which is why his blaming Ukraine for what happed came as no surprise to anyone , Never let a good crisis go to waste.

Yeah, I also remember the amount of innocent civilians that were gassed, killed or injured in the Beslan school siege under Putins authority.

As we move into the 3rd week of the Russian Liberation Forces "Special Military Operation" in Southern Russia a Telegram Milblogger suggests a Russian Special Forces team may have joined the Rebels as they seem to have mysteriously disappeared.

On Monday (March 18 - ed.), near the city of Grayvoron, Belgorod Region, a special forces group of the Russian Guard suddenly stopped communicating. The group included five servicemen who moved to the forward positions," the Z-channel reported. He clarified that the car was soon found blown up near Grayvoron.

There were no traces of the military at the site, including no fragments of bodies. “Sources in the General Staff hinted that there could have been betrayal and a defection to the enemy’s side,” the Russian resource clarified. There is no confirmation of the information announced at the moment.

Context Fighting in the border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation began on the night of March 12. Russian liberation forces ("Russian Volunteer Corps", Legion "Freedom of Russia", "Siberian Battalion" and others), fighting on the side of Ukraine, broke through the border and entered the territory of the Russian Federation.

Obviously there's no official confirmation of this but it does seem possible after the Russian Volunteer Corps claimed a few days ago that former Wagner fighters had joined their ranks.

I'm amazed they still hold the territory. Something is wrong when the military can't remove them from Russian territory.

At this point you have to ask why? Something were not being told
