Okay, which country is next? You've got USA, UK, Belgium, France, several others, and now Brazil.

There is literally a government person in EVERY country on earth that will condemn this and call for what your position says.

Contrary to its intent, this really doesn't demonstrate global majority support. It just says you can find someone in any country to agree with you.

53% in polling show support for Hamas, mostly in Gaza.

coopwb.in...

A more local accurate statistical analysis shows 44% over all support Hamas in both Gaza and the West Bank.

www.pcpsr.org...

At the end of the day there is a huge support among the Palestinian population, and course neighboring nations for Hamas.

There isn't really an "election" in those parts of the world.
Also, Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization in Isreal.

58% is half of half of Palestinian adults (probably less so now), so why would they vote for the Hamas leader over the PNA leader at 37%?
-------------------------------

Additional polls done then for full context as to the purpose of the polling held on Sept. 2023, before the Hamas attack:

76% believe Israel does not implement the Oslo Accords; 49% believe the PA does not implement the Oslo Accords

About two-thirds think current conditions are worse than those of the pre-Oslo period; 20% think current conditions are better

68% say the Oslo Accords have damaged Palestinian national interests and 11% say the Accords have served the national interests

63% support an abandonment of the Oslo Accords by the PA; 31%

Questions for you strongfp:

What was the intent and context of the Sept. 2023 poll? Certainly not for Hamas to attack anyone, was it for Hamas/Israel governments to look for solutions and which governing body would do the best job?

I think another poll today is required to see how many Palestinians agreed with Hamas' decision to take up arms and start another conflict or would they vote them out of office now, do you agree?

We have no idea what Palestinian civilians feel or think about Hamas at this point in time, now do we?

Maybe try sitting down at the table and talking about a solution instead of hurling a seemingly everlasting supply of rockets at Isreal?

The Palestinian people aren't really in a position to be the ones negotiating with force. And unfortunately this whole situation has lead to a right wing freak like Netanyahu gaining power and just making it worse.

Every time the government of the day in Palestine sat at the table, Israel would not compromise and give them what they want. Even today Netanyahu says after the dust settles and everything is razed when he allows the Palestinian people to return (return to what?) security must be maintained. What do you think that means? More of the same occupation/policing as usual and the cycle of violence continues.

Smarter people than any of us here offer solutions to end this once and for all, but Israel and other countries don't want to give Palestinian people sovereignty over themselves.

You make a very common mistake to claim it is the Palestinians who are using force.

The terrorist organization HAMAS is responsible for all their own attacks.

The non-combatant Palestinian civilians in Gaza are being intentionally precision-guided bombed to genocide.

I am very glad to know another state official of the world has stepped forward condemning the atrocities of Israel, as well as the atrocities of HAMAS.

Yes. It's called "confirmation bias".

What are your thoughts on a state officials claim that Israel themselves committed acts of terrorism.

That's what we want to talk about there.

So they proffered and supported Hamas and everything it stands for.

Lets break this down again. What percentage of men between the ages of 15 and 55 are Hamas?

They are ALL Palestinian. So for the sake of being accurate, lets call them that!

Global majority support are not required for war crime investigations.

Is that the opinion that you hold, or are you simply mistaken on how condemning blatant inhumane violence against a civilian population, and initiating an investigation works?

They aren't all Palestinian. HAMAS officers would have to come from headquarters in Damascus or Qatar.

Do you disagree with the Brazilian President that murdering innocent civilians = inhumane violence? Never mind who or where they are, or who is occupying their territory with brutal force.

Yes, murder is not the proper legal term for war.

I disagree with the politician from Brazil.

Not in this thread, you haven't. So, please elaborate on your very short claim of confirmation bias.

Will you please explain how confirmation bias is being used by the president of Brazil when he says Israel is also committing criminal atrocities?

So you are claiming that Hamas comes from OUTSIDE Gaza?

Then Israel is at war with far more than just Gaza, correct?

Gaza, as I'm saying, is just the front line and the Muslims have chosen it.

58% is half of half of all the population and the Palestinian people's frustration came through in those polls showing their misery and helplessness under occupation.

What would another poll show today?

I can tell you right now that Israel will refuse to cooperate with any investigations in the future as they have done consistently throughout history.

Why should when I haven't said any such thing?

The confirmation bias is yours.

Not his.

Obviously?

Don't be obtuse.
