I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore

After being on Above Top Secret for thirteen years, I find this situation to be unacceptable.

Here is the process I need to go through to get back into my old account at ATS.

I have to join Disord by downloading the app, and then, by personal invite, get a link to a private chatroom (AKA Discord "server") called "The Phantom Zone", then find someone called "_GHOST_" or someone else called "Djarums".

Then I have to give them my ATS username and any email address I may choose. After that, I have to go back to ATS and have the website reset my password using the new email and old username.

What the hell is all that about? What kind of BS requires all that?

So, now I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.

They need to come up with a notice and a system for members to use, an official process to reset passwords. This word-of-mouth bull# on a stupid private chat service designed for gamers, to make contact with who the hell knows who, to ask them to please reset my membership password using any email I (or anyone else) wanted to use is the Mad Hatter's tea party insanity in a rabbit hole I don't want to go down.

Screw all that. I'm just going to ride this sinking ship until it goes under using this new profile that I hope has the pissed-off attitude I intended. I'm not doing all this shady hacker crap to get my old profile back. I extend my right hand and give you the middle finger and then poke you in the eye with it ATS.

As a regular member, I am with you on this one. Getting use to my new name. I am not here for stars and flags.

It is important that something was done to help keep this boat afloat, so for those that had to raid through the back door, good. I do like seeing some old familiar names return.

I had an old Discord name and it was crazy trying to get back on there so I almost gave up too.

Calm down.

I've had a mod offer to try to do it through this site, as I explained I've never been able to figure out discord.
It's likely you will need to still provide an email, but you did that when you joined.

Ghost I don't know.

This is getting all too shady and screwed up. It all seems really wrong, like I'm having sex with a prostitute or hooking up with a drug dealer. Its back room stuff here, I don't like it.

i totally understand but ats is in some dire end times type stuff... so relax... and watch the show play out.

could be really wild if the owners just ghost us and , god forbid, some good people take care of this place as the ship sinks.

The site has been abandoned, imo, and what you are experiencing is what the rest of us are experiencing.

Old Members and moderators, coming together in different offsite places brainstorming and trying to figure out a way around the password "hiccup".

Instead of anger, you should feel some sort of appreciation for what's been going on behind the scenes.

What we're experiencing is a site that's having to be tweeked through a backdoor.

I understand if this gets deleted. Hopefully, enough read it before it does.

Yeah, me too . I got lost in there, besides I like this new name I have. I almost went for Brian McGoof but I have a cousin of that name so Bingo it is. Anyway matters not I can just as easily be insulted under this name as the last one. Bet your bottom dollar I could start with an new name again and within days the insulter clique will have ferreted me out.
