My bets would be, in this order: Russia - North Korea - China - Iran

LMAO Oh but not the no way the CIA. Hell they don't even exist.
Not even on the radar.
Can't even imagine the U.S.A. being on a list like that because I'm
a blind niave zombie for ever more. You can see it when I walk!

There’s the obvious conspiracy theory that they’re being shut down to keep an inbound vessel secret.

But what if the opposite is true?

What if ‘project bluebeam’ is being readied so telescopes that are able to disprove false claims of arriving aliens are being taken offline?

Theoretically which would be preferable/easiest/idiot proof for tptb if they were going to fake aliens in order to give us the next big bad along with all the social control, power, martial law that would open the door to? To convince every astronomer at these global sites to cooperate and then hope they don’t leak the truth? Or to hack the telescopes to take them offline? Surely it’s the latter.

They wouldn’t want to do this too long before it all kicked off, as it would give the facilities an opportunity to fix the hacks. So it’s either going to happen imminently, or this is a test run on their own facilities (without them knowing of course). Im thinking the latter, since these hacks would be global if it was really happening now.

All they need to do is disable them for enough time for the public to panic and decide it’s real. After that it’s an uphill battle for astronomers to change the publics minds. Tptb would likely ‘receive a message’ from the aliens warning them to shutdown all observatories cos they’re shy, or whatever. Those that refuse will be easier to silence.

Or the alien visitation might be a fleeting one, relaying the message that gives tptb licence to roll out draconian control, with threats of return and annihilation if we don’t do as they command and then -zoom- they’re going in a flash using tech we don’t understand (wormhole, maybe) so it makes sense that telescopes coming back online see nothing

This isn’t what I think is happening - haven’t a clue! It’s just wild speculation on a hypothetical scenario

Thought experiment: sabotage aimed at lowering the probability of something being discovered, witnessed or confirmed. What could this something be?

A) Earth based humans (wild speculation with complete disregard for feasibility)

- weaponized sun - artificially induced CME to cause Carrington event aimed at specific region of our planet.
- weaponized meteors - artificially redirected to hit enemy. The Chelyabinsk event of 2013 comes to mind. The air burst released an estimated equivalent of 460 to 470 kilotonnes of TNT. That's on par with a W88 warhead as deployed in Trident D5 submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

B) Breakaway civilization

- space Nazis
- secret space programs
- antantediluvian/precataclysmic space faring civilization

C)Aliens

- returning ancestors, creators, angels, demons, gods from somewhere else. Ancient astronauts, Anunnaki, Sumerians, Sirius,...
- first time visitors
- already here but hidden and in small numbers now being joined by settlers, colonizers, invasion forces...

D) Natural cataclysmic event

- Asteroid, Nibiru, supernova, galactic wave,...

E) Any of the above but combined with foreknowledge gained from

- prophecy, clairvoyance
- fake prophecy seeded to be instrumentalized. Think Missionaria Protectiva of the Bene Gesserit in the Dune novels for a fictional example.
- remote viewing
- time travellers.

Excellent addition and the kind of contribution I was hoping to see in this thread.

Probably a common fault in the software used by a lot of places, has the most obvious reason as they all use a common library that's not been looked at since 1994 and there's been a roll over of some value and it's basically made some ancient software go wtf and look for a quiet room while rebooting.

Integer rollover is the most common thing as once you reach the end number you roll back down to zero or if using signed integers a negative number and thus all sorts of fun can appear if you never expected it to last long enough to ever even get close to the limit.

Why can’t they do this to IRS centers and wef headquarters? Telescopes? Who cares if they go wonky?!?

How long until amateur astronomers have the 'seeing' ability of the larger observatories I know they find many comets and other interesting objects.

Most comets and some asteroids are discovered by small instruments, usually reflectors or SC's in the 8-16 inch class. Most of these are also owned by amateurs that diligently use them to scan the heavens for anything new. Not much will get past these people, as they are very organized and share information with the public openly.

The Arecibo facility will not be repaired and instead will be made into an educational facility, according to the NSF, which owns it. New array technology , in which many smaller radio telescopes act as one large instrument are also much more capable than large, fixed systems like Arecibo, as they can be tasked with multiple targets and vastly increased viewing opportunities since they are mechanically gimbled and synchronized.

Arecibo was not maintained properly and had many electronic and mechanical failures before the final cable incident. The cost to keep it operational would have probably doomed it anyway, if the entire detector/transmitter boom had not fallen down through the reflector, destroying everything.

I was at Arecibo a year before the final failure. This was a really impressive instrument, the foundation of which was carved out of the mountains. It was historic for many of it's discoveries and even though it was an old instrument, it will be missed.

The last article posted in the OP talks about the government being prepared for something in 2027.

I’ve heard 2027 in an official capacity, and I can’t reveal, so I would say that people in the government are aware of something happening, and there’s limited time, a few more years to prepare the people. That’s what’s wrapping up this acceleration from the previous seven decades of not even acknowledging it to now acknowledging it at a faster and faster pace.”

This instantly made me think of a chart of the US national debt over time.

What do we do when we run out of money that we can borrow?

Start some wars, cause some "natural disasters", oh I know, fake an alien invasion.

Hmm I'm a bit behind atm but I'm in Australia and suddenly the Square Kilometre Array has had a funding injection to build the largest Radio Telescope in the world out in the Murchison shire of Western Australia. I'm living in the regional city closest to it and lately noticed company vehicles EVERYWHERE I look. There is also an Echelon Spy base here.

You are witnessing one of the developments that will be a replacement of Arecibo.
There will be military aspects of it as well, just like there is with all strategic instruments with capabilities like that.

Thank you for the discussion. My ex is an amateur skywatcher. He has an SC-8 and takes fabulous photos. I know they have great capability but require great patience taking a photo, even with the tracking mechanism. It's comforting to know that these guys are out there when the skies are clear, watching over us!

Huge cyberattack disables telescopes in Hawaii and Chile

Ten telescopes have been impacted for over two weeks now, with on-site operatives able to keep some operational, albeit less efficiently. The shutdowns are causing chaos in the astronomy sphere, with many essential windows of opportunity being missed for space observations.

The attack was reported on 1st of August and the problem doesn't seem to have been resolved yet. A week later the Maui wildfires started. 5 years ago the Maui based Pan-STARRS telescope at Haleakalā Observatory discovered Oumuamua, the first interstellar traveller witnessed to enter our solar system. Oumuamua means "messenger from afar arriving first.” There was and still is much speculation that it could be an alien space ship.

14 August Arecibo observatory finally shut down for good. It was damaged in 2020 beyond repair after a cable snapped that was supposed to last at least another 15 to 20 years link

Already earlier in 2020: COVID-19 forces Earth’s largest telescopes to close

almost complete shutdown of observational astronomy.

In 2018 the Sunspot Solar Observatory in New Mexico was raided by the FBI and shut down for 10 days supposedly because a janitor used the internet connection for downloading and sharing kiddie porn.

October 19, 2017 Oumuamua discovered by Maui based Pan-STARRS telescope

This starts looking a bit like a pattern, doesn't it? I suspect some connection to the UFOUAP disclosure/psyop, especially with the 2027 contact narrative in mind.

Ex-CIA Officer On UFOs & Aliens: Says ‘They Are Showing Up In 2027’

Hardly looks like a pattern, really there’s no more meat you feel is needed to provide and support this OP? Judging from folks gleeful replies anyone who claims aliens are coming is guaranteed stars regardless of how lacking a claim can be.

Let's look at this another way.
What if an outside source just got a peek at what they were observing and this is why they shut it down? Maybe it wasn't a hack as much as someone on the outside seen something they were not suppose to. Maybe once the lab realized there was a leak they shut down any affiliate until they could resolve the problem and figure out how they tapped in.

"NOIRLab is continuing its efforts to diligently investigate and resolve the 1 August cybersecurity incident that occurred in its computer systems. This incident resulted in the temporary shutdown of Gemini North and South telescopes and some of the smaller telescopes on Cerro Tololo in Chile,"

It says resulted in temporary shutdown. The way it is worded doesn't say who shut it down, just that it was shutdown as a result.

So was it a cyberattack or another Gary McKinnon?

2027? That's an interesting date based on a Bible Prophecy. Simply put in John 2 Jesus Christ made this statement.

John 2
19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21But he spake of the temple of his body.

Along with this one from Hosea 6.

Hosea 6
1Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

And combine them with

2nd Peter 3
8But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

It appears there is a timeline to the world of 3 thousand years here in the bible. One where Israel and the Jews were cursed for 2000 years and blessed for a thousand years. And based on John 2 it started at the Crucifixion. So working backwards then it appears the thousand year reign of the saints starts in the 2030s with April 7 of 2033 being a generally accepted date as the 2000th anniversary of the Crucifixion. So then it appears a good date for the start of the Apocalypse is 2026. 2027 falls nicely in the early part of the Apocalypse.

Coincidence? Maybe not.

Change the terminology and it sure sounds like a Alien civilization (Demons) falling back to their furthest strong point and then fighting their last stand against a stronger army (God and his angels). Like the battle for Berlin in 1945.
