lol. Yeah. It's been sherbet forever, but like many things, a single generation of people and teachers can lead everyone astray. It has always been
one of those that made me chuckle like wash pronounced "warsh".
I was victim of dilemna vs dilemma. It was even on spelling tests as dilemna because it was a "difficult" word. Literally, it was never a thing, but
about half the people remember it as dilemna and being specifically taught by emphasizing the "n" to help remember. I even went through old
dictionaries to check.
