Many of those quotes have been debunked. Some are comedic.

A lot of times, taking a snippet out of one of his commentaries is an easy gotcha when the full text takes a page or more and sheds a lot of light on things.

I'll bet the caller was an angry woman too, either that or he wasn't making the comment at her directly.

Media Matters puts most of those out, and the usually picked them to worst effect and lot of them weren't exactly what they were portrayed to be.

Yup, conversation context, it's the nemesis of every online bull#ter out there.

Rush was not someone I particularly cared for nor did I care for his views, I found him to be a bigger pompous ass (on-air, anyway) than Trump, and that's no small feat. But this here doesn't smell right to me, and if something out of Rush's mouth is not pinging as having already pissed me off before, it probably isn't being presented in truthful context.

Glad he is dead. Wish he would've died sooner.

"When actor Michael J. Fox, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, appeared in a Democratic campaign commercial, Limbaugh mocked his tremors. When a Washington advocate for the homeless killed himself, he cracked jokes. As the AIDS epidemic raged in the 1980s, he made the dying a punchline. He called 12-year-old Chelsea Clinton a dog.

He suggested that the Democrats’ stand on reproductive rights would have led to the abortion of Jesus Christ. When a woman accused Duke University lacrosse players of rape, he derided her as a “ho,” and when a Georgetown University law student supported expanded contraceptive coverage, he dismissed her as a “slut.” When Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, Limbaugh said flatly: “I hope he fails.”

He was frequently accused of bigotry and blatant racism for such antics as playing the song “Barack the Magic Negro” on his show. The lyrics, set to the tune of “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” describe Obama as someone who “makes guilty whites feel good” and is “black, but not authentically.”"

Gonna paraphrase Bette Davis. "You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Rush Limbaugh is dead. Good.”

Liberal deeply ingrained hatred toward all things and people conservative, is so clearly on display for all to see today.

That is what liberalism has become and this sort of liberal snark is all over social media. Your sentiments are certainly echoed by the vast majority of liberals on social media. What a shame, and very enlightening and a shining example of the unity that liberals pretend to want.

When someone dies try "If you can't say something good, don't say anything at all."

Bette Davis as a role model for superb behavior, well that is typical of liberals, Hollywood stars are THE major if not only role models for liberals these days.

Rules of etiquette concerning decent behavior that apply to others never apply to liberals, do they.
As we know
Rules of decent behavior only apply to thee
Never to liberals
That is the way it is these days
And is clearly on display today.

RIP Rush, I listened to him since the days of Reagan. I'll miss him.

So now you can hate on me for liking him, as a typical liberal does these days.

Limbaugh was referring to how he thought Fox did not take his Parkinson's medications before appearances to make his symptoms worse. So he was not mocking the disease or Fox for having it.

Now you can get upset about him accusing Fox of being dishonest like that (deceptively not taking his medications) when he didn't know for sure if it was true. But it's a lie that he was mocking the Parkinson's.

James Golden (aka Bo Snerdley) Rush's producer for 30 years:

Bo Snerdley
@BoSnerdley

I just saw the footage from CNN's Jim Acosta saying Rush has a "history" of saying disparaging things about African Americans. I have been in the studio with Rush for 30 years. I would like to formally challenge CNN and
@Acosta to provide the list.

The Duke lacrosse chick was a ho. I guess you don't recall she was stripper and lied about the incident. Where I am from, that just isn't a ho, but a lyin ass hoe.

He did hope Barack failed. As if he succeed, his policies would not be good for the country. Again, taken out of context.

The puff the magic negro was Obama. Skit of how the media was tripping over themselves over obama.

Logically, Jesus would have been aborted based on the reasons the left use to justify abortion. Again taken out of context.

I won a bar fight defending Rush Limbaugh. A loud mouth and
his back up girl friend that tried to be a guy but failed. All I
said was how Rush was born to do what he was doing. And 20 mins
later after a non stop avalanche of hatred for Limbaugh and
insults like " Anybody who even listens to that S#!t bag" could
only be a male such and such. Taking it anywhere anyway he can
to make a pay day happen any day.

Crap like that.

I didnt always agree with him but he certainly did more in his life than most of the people dancing on his grave.

Haters gonna hate, he will be remembered after he died while those taking joy in a cancer death will be long forgotten.

Have you seen the video?
www.snopes.com...

I think Limbaugh was in a manner making fun of Parkinson's, he shows gestures of Parkinson's(that is a manner of
making fun of an illness)

He also apologized, then again said negative remarks.

So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act.”

Then Limbaugh pivoted to a different critique: “Michael J. Fox is allowing his illness to be exploited and in the process is shilling for a Democratic politician.”

Rush had a larger than life voice, but I think his greatest accomplishment was that he was able to give a voice to so many who didn't have one.

If you've listened to even one of his shows, you'd know that the best parts were the callers calling in and the exchanges Rush would have with them.

He used his platform primarily to lift others voices.

RIP

This makes me wonder what your previous 147 posts have looked like over the past 13 years.

But, I'm not gonna honor you by even having a look.

Have you ever entertained the notion of self control?

Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.

They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?

[To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.

Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?

Holocaust? Ninety million Indians? Only four million left? They all have casinos — what’s to complain about?

When a gay person turns his back on you, it is anything but an insult; it’s an invitation.”

It's like these people have never listened to Rush Limbaugh before Trump gave him a shiny medal!

There's free speech, and then there's just plain rude, and out of place. There is a difference.

Evidently you missed the actual context above that repaints those quotes in a very mundane, non malicious light.

Knee-jerk rush-posting is never a good idea, you tend to miss contextually important posts while rushing to hit submit, thinking you got a good zinger in. Except you didn't, because the bubble was already popped before you got here.

Cherry picking words out of context is business as usual for those looking for shock value.

Says a whole lot more about those people than it does Rush Limbaugh...and none of it good.

Apparently being woke means a decided lack of decency.
