Solomon: ‘Activist’ U.S. embassy in Ukraine had a ‘do not prosecute list’

Specifically, sources told Solomon that the U.S. embassy under Yovanovitch had pressured Ukraine prosecutors in 2016 to drop or avoid pursuing several cases, including one involving the George Soros-backed AntiCorruption Action Centre and two cases involving Ukraine officials who criticized then-candidate Donald Trump and his campaign manager Paul Manafort.

As the story of the U.S. embassy’s “do not prosecute list” spread, a Ukrainian news outlet claimed the individual who told Solomon the list existed had recanted. Solomon said he called the individual, Yuriy Lutsenko, who denied recanting or even changing his story.

“One of the American outlets that did contact Lutsenko, The New York Times, belatedly disclosed today that Lutsenko told it, like he told me, that he stood by his allegation that the ambassador had provided him names of people and groups she did not want to be targeted by prosecutors.”

Solomon wrote: “It is neither a conspiracy theory nor a debunked or retracted story. U.S. embassy officials DID apply pressure to try to stop Ukrainian prosecutors from pursuing certain cases.”

Ben Sasse: 'Americans deserve answers' regarding Epstein death

Sen. Ben Sasse sent a letter to the head of the Federal Bureau of Prisons telling her to "come prepared" with answers regarding the death of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

"Epstein's death makes it significantly harder to prosecute his co-conspirators," the Nebraska Republican said in a letter dated Wednesday to Kathleen Hawk Sawyer. "Wealthy and powerful men raped innocent children, and it is an outrage that so much of the evidence of these crimes died with Epstein while in your agency's custody."

Sasse noted in the letter that he had already asked "basic and urgent questions" regarding the financial mogul's death, but that "we're still in the dark about what happened to Epstein." The senator argued that "Americans deserve answers" to the question and that Sawyer should come to the Tuesday Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with "substantial answers."

It will also entirely discredit Schiff’s argument that no wrongdoing occurred relative to the FISA warrants and will portray him as a deeply partisan member of the House whose sole goal is to remove the president at any cost (even if it means overlooking clear abuses).

The release of the FISA report could be a game changer. If it’s as damaging as Carter suggests, it will not only reveal one of the nation’s biggest political scandals but could also significantly impact the public’s perception of Schiff and the House’s entire impeachment inquiry.

They way Trump talks about the transcript, Schiff, the whistleblower and Vindman implies strongly (for me) that there was definitely a trap set for the Dems. Interview starts at 5:00 and gets interesting around 10:00, pointing out there are differences between the WB report, what Schiff stated, as well as Vindman compared to the actual transcript. Pilosi also pissed, as she was misled. And clearly Horowitz brought the WB report directly to congress, as part of the plan to trap them.
