These Democratic Socialists are all idiots. What makes them think that they won't see protests like the yellow vest protests in France if they try to implement their bogus Green New Deal & raise everyone's taxes? Do they really think people will tolerate all airplanes being grounded & all ships being banned from traveling because they run on fossil fuels? Not only will the people not tolerate this but countries like China will not tolerate this either.

To be fair, as you know dire climate change predictions are issued by various orgs on a regular basis. She’s far from the only person stating such things.

Although, 12 years or 2031? Is hyperbolic. That sounds like a prediction out of the 80s or 90s, lol.

To be honest, climate change models are a lot to understand for well educated or even scientific folks, especially if their education isn’t specifically on related topics.

I used to be a gung ho climate change mitigation person. I still am an environmentalist in the sense that human society needs to act in a sustainable manner.

However, some folks on here and elsewhere have presented some good arguments undermining the “scientific consensus” that anthropogenic climate change is the prime cause of climate change. I remain open.

The climate change and global warming community have been making drastic world ending predictions within short amounts of time for years, yet the change to the world has been minimal despite wrong extreme prediction after wrong extreme prediction. So there's no wonder so few people take these issues seriously.

Oh-oh. You're right, I never considered that someone with such idiotic ideology could get in power.

I’ve said this forever: environmental conservation IS conservative and responsible. During the bush years too many conservatives denied basic realities about pollution, industry “externalities,” etc.

All environmental sustainability means is literally living within our ecological means and making sure our environment is safe for future generations. Those that fight such ideas aren’t being conservative at heart. They talk about fiscal responsibility and balancing the budget but willfully don’t want to do the same with environment.
