It's all about taking away free speech slowly. It's so obvious.

First we ban the memes, then anything considered funny.

Then we outright ban any differing opinion that doesn't conform.

Additionally, EVERYTHING on the internet WILL OFFEND someone at SOME POINT. So the government can't possibly hope to just ban everything offensive. Bah.

I love how reactionaries have decided gloablism is a left-wing thing. Yay low info far-right populist dreck. You know all those black bloc protesters you undoubtedly hate? You're appropriating their terminology but if you look at recent decades, they're the ones who have actually been protesting the globalist institutions (look at any World Bank, WTO, G7/G8/G20 protest ever).

Oh but that's just the tip of the irony iceberg. According to right-wingers, the left-wing technocrats are trying to silence "conservative" voices. Then something like this Article 13 comes along and of course — it's the Left!

Except that no, Article 13 isn't about dank memes, it's about money. Because at the end of the day, it's always about money. And who actually stands to lose the most? All those platforms that rely on user generated content that you imagine are out to get you who have lobbied against it.

This would effectively force platforms to scan content prior to allowing the upload. I bought a few guns during those years. Needed a deer rifle for my son, and my younger boy outgrew his 20 gauge and wanted to move up to a 12 for ducks.

Don't waste time on those games. My boys seem to like them thought. My oldest son, who is a currently serving US Marine, tells me all the time that civilians are #, and don't really know what serving really means.

I am sure you know what it means, however.

The EU and some of the states within it has been threatening Facebook and other online companies with its draconian "hate speech" agenda for quite some time. They'd prefer bureaucratic control of speech rather than leaving that power in the hands of individuals. Oppose it while you still can.
