Thank you so much Nick for your encouragement and kindness, you saved me from crushing despair. I know we disagreed about this but... we'll meet again, simply because it can't be any other way. Until then I'll miss you.

For all of you that loved him so.

Don't even know what to say except, dammit. This is one of those bittersweet, mind-blowing moments. His long struggle has ended but there is a gaping hole. A huge, gut-wrenching, mad-at-the-world, #ing gaping hole.

Love out to Woody, his family and all who can read this. We are a community and our community has lost one of the best of us. His struggle is hallmarked by an incomprehensible measure of courage, humor, amazing empathy to others and grace.

Thanks to all who kept this thread going, even when he could not.

Life’s trials
seem to move slowly.
One grows weary

As mentioned before I didn't really know him, but I paid attention to his posts after seeing this thread, and I liked what he had to say. It's clear he made quite an impression on people here so my condolences to the family and friends on and off ATS.

I'll be looking for you tomorrow night in the skies during the Perseids shower... and I expect your fireball to be the brightest one of them all.

When I was out on the boat this evening, there was this yellow and black butterfly that hung out with us for the whole time.

When I came home and read this, I thought about that butterfly.

I am happy that our friend Woody is at peace. And I hope like the butterfly, he too will ride the winds, and be free.

My thought's and prayer's to Woody's family.
