But we don't have 75 million people that cannot feed themselves. Sure, food is getting ridiculously expensive and the unemployed/homeless population is growing. There are like 46m people on food benefits(which amazes me as someone who's been unemployed for over a year and only got $15/mo for about 6 months before they took that piddly amount away...) but that doesn't mean they cannot afford any kind of food themselves, because, let's be honest, people are abusing that program. And even then, only about 11% of the tax dollars go to safety net programs.

I'm not saying that things aren't bad. They are.
But, considering the points I brought up, a culling certainly isn't going to do the elite any good and would likely activate an even larger revolution which could implode the income of the elite and perhaps their lives as well from bloodshed alone.

Now, in another 20+ years or so, you can expect a great deal more programs to be implemented that would curtail reproduction and enforce more imprisonment within the for-profit prisons in the means of new and fanciful felonies.
You could even surmise that sterilization could be mandated. And certainly an increase in forced labor due to economically strapped people.

But, a round up and culling is the last thing they want to do if they want to maintain their ranches.

You do realize that if there's some sort of "collapse" THEY won't have to do anything?
