The title says it all! DOJ wants to mandate the hiring of illegals at the Space X facilities.. Yes there will be many who will not believe this however this information comes directly from the office of public affairs U.S. department of justice. The full title is: Justice Department Sues SpaceX for Discriminating Against Asylees and Refugees in Hiring.. I guess if the illegals get a job the U.S. government can stop giving them $2200 a month in living expenses... shove their B.S. on someone else's shoulders ...

www.justice.gov...

Asylees and Refugees With Relevant Information Should Contact the Justice Department

The Justice Department filed a lawsuit today against Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) for discriminating against asylees and refugees in hiring. The lawsuit alleges that, from at least September 2018 to May 2022, SpaceX routinely discouraged asylees and refugees from applying and refused to hire or consider them, because of their citizenship status, in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

In job postings and public statements over several years, SpaceX wrongly claimed that under federal regulations known as “export control laws,” SpaceX could hire only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, sometimes referred to as “green card holders.” Export control laws impose no such hiring restrictions. Moreover, asylees’ and refugees’ permission to live and work in the United States does not expire, and they stand on equal footing with U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents under export control laws. Under these laws, companies like SpaceX can hire asylees and refugees for the same positions they would hire U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents. And once hired, asylees and refugees can access export-controlled information and materials without additional government approval, just like U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.

They're not here illegally.

"“Asylee” is the term used in the U.S. for people who have been granted asylum. Under U.S. immigration law, a person granted asylum is legally allowed to remain in the country without fear of deportation. They qualify to work, travel abroad and apply for their spouse or children under the age of 21 to join them. Asylees have the opportunity to become permanent residents, and eventually, citizens, provided that they meet all other requirements."

Because they are here legally, it would be stupid to not let them work. That would just make them a burden on everyone else.

Since much of Elon's funding comes from government branches, I expect he'll capitulate. I'm still not convinced 'X' isn't controlled opposition, as well as Musk himself.

Why?

The cartels not getting enough US money?

I used to be, at one time, a person who would advocate for full pardons of all illegals.

No more.

Go away.

Bye-bye.

(DB waves bye-bye)

This just makes it more clear that the DOJ does not work in the interests of the American people but is perhaps some sort of hellspawn beast that works for Lucifer and Ahramin.

I can partially agree with that hence my gambling reference.

Even if he manages get back into office, he will still have to contend with the establishment/deep state AGAIN. If the People aren't willing to step up, he will get stonewalled once more.

What he'll have to do will upset A LOT of hungry pockets and expose some nasty, NASTY agreements and alliances.

Folks say, "Yes, that's great, exactly!! Let's do this!!", and I agree. Except it's going to take nothing short of a revolution to do that because we are in the midst of a cultural one as we speak. #ChangeMyMind

That's a load of excrement. Their asylum status has not been granted yet or why else would we have complaints out of NYC about getting them their work permits? This seems more retribution from the administration, since they have failed at their job at multiple steps. Also how many qualified "asylum seekers" do they believe crossed the border? It's not like everyone that skipped over the border is an engineer!

Since when does the justice department get dictatorship status. If you are not a resident alien here, you cannot get a government job...at least it was that way up until three years ago. I KNOW this because my son in law couldn't get a job as a garbage truck driver which is partly funded by the government unless he keeps up his legal residence status.

The Justice department is ignoring a lot of rules in place, seems they are siding more with immigrants than with citizens now.

Why not give jobs to our own citizens instead of forcing companies to hire immigrants that are not yet fully legal citizens.

So how many Asylee's have been hired at the DOJ? With Biden at the wheel, this kind of policy shift makes some sense with the repercussions of boarder policy. Or is it just more double standards to target political opposition? Is it only just Space X targeted with this policy change?

Come on man, face it.
This is an assault on free speech.

I wish the DOJ had to hire people who were
incompetent based on some political criteria.

Turns out that hiring non citizens is considered a no no because dealing with rockets is considered weapons related and a national security matter.Elons got the law on his side here.

So a reverse "spirit of the law" on this one?

Take it up with The Department of Homeland Security?

7.3 Refugees and Asylees
Refugees and asylees are employment eligible incident to their status and are authorized to work indefinitely because their immigration status does not expire. They may present any List A document or a combination of List B and List C documents from the Form I-9 Lists of Acceptable Documents to demonstrate identity and employment authorization. Employees may also present an acceptable receipt instead of the List A, B or C document. For more information about receipts, including the receipts refugees and asylees may present, see the information below in this section or Section 4.4, Acceptable Receipts.

It's not capitulation it's adhering to Federal Law as a major employer and DoD contactor.

You have to change immigration law, and strip the permenant employment eligibility status granted to the 53% approved by The DHS (USCIS) before you can bitch about this. Otherwise you are angry US law grants equal employment status to asylum/refugees and is enforcing it on a contractor. Albeit selectively.

Meh.

So we are no longer receiving the homeless tempest-tost folk, right?
