An interesting report. I wonder if it will make news here in the US..
Hopefully they interview those guys and get more media attention (esp) if other eyewitnesses come forward.

They won't.
The story has been on the BBC site, but not on the news itself and it won't be. We can only guess the police are probably in trouble with the MOD for chasing a unidentified craft - which is the job of the airforce.

The MOD is not as interested in UFO's as its American counter part, so the the organisation will conclude the object was not an enemy craft and thats it.

The chopper was as police Eurocopter, EC135T21,. It was hovering in the sky above the base, waiting to land.

This is also being dicussed here;

The MoD, which usually investigates UFO sightings, said: “We’ve heard nothing about this. But it is certainly not advisable for police helicopters to go chasing what they think are UFOs.”

what an intriguing comment

The recently release MOD files "advise" that you should not give chase to a ufo.So nothing unusual in that. Its just reading from the script.

This MOD sumary is worth downloading ( 5mb) and reading.

www.mod.uk...

It cleary admits to the reality of ufo's but giving its own "natural" attributes to them. But if you read between the lines they admit thier "expert" opinion is vague and only a theory. One thing it does show is that Chinese Lanterns is not always the cause of the red/orange orbs.

I'd like someone to answer another question this document throws up -
If these are an unknown but "natural" phenomena as they say and that these orbs can react to a witness signaling them how does a torch light beam (photons) interact with a "natural" plasma ball ?

.. and were did the MOD get the name "Boyant Entities" from ?

Why should anyone trust the police? All they have done for the past decade or so is violate the publice trust. They plant evidence, harass citizens and lie on the stand (normally abot why they HAD to tazer you six times until you died, because you weren't COMPLYING)

Yeah, we should really trust those guys...

That being said, How do we know these cops weren't hallucinating or experiencing yet another bout of compulsive lying?
Perhaps a mental evaluation should be performed, we can't have delusional polices officers running around (or flying) now can we?

These guys need a dose of their own medicine.
They are not credible witnesses, if anything they have consistently proven themselves to be non-trustworthy, and given the tendency of psychopaths to gravitate to police and political work, shouldn't we at least consider the fact that this could in fact be a hallucination... maybe the psychosis has worsened due to the stresses of the job?

You know they would be calling you crazy if you called the police and told them a UFO almost crashed into you... especially if there was no proof, as in this case. You might even lose your job if your boss found out - but these guys certainly won't.

Talk about a Two-Tier system....

The police caught images of the craft, but the MOD will not make it public because it could be a) one of theirs or b) foreign to the UK.

Hey infinite, I've been loving your rational commentary but there's one thing I don't understand (above).

I read it like this:

It wont be made public if it's a) one of theirs or b) not one of theirs. LOL!
That doesn't leave much hope of a public disclosure

Your logic appears to be flawed doctorMC. There really was no need to lie about seeing a UFO as there was NOTHING to gain.

As many people know - talk of UFO's is never good for ones career. Therefore, the only people harmed by the incident are the witnesses that report it.

Your remark on mental evaluations, delusions and hallucinations confirms what I am saying about the wrath one must face when being so public about a UFO sighting.

In short, what your implying is nonsensical.

Well, look at the facts:

If the craft is apart of a top secret project then the MOD will not comment on it. The US stealth fighter was openly tested across US cities, which led to an increase of UFO sightings.

And, if the craft is foreign or cannot be explain, the MOD will not go public and say "we have no idea". Not the best way to inject confidence into the UK

Their job is to protect the country not chase conspiracies

Your are mistaking the UK for the United States. The MOD does not care about UFOs and there is no government conspiracy here, all the UFO reports have been released and the Ministry. There might be a secret cabal in th US restricting information on UFO sightings but the UK is far different from America. If the UK is interested, it would be along the same lines of Russia (i.e relating it to national security).

Heck, you could scream and shout UFO's in the UK and no one (including the people and government) will care.

I'm sorry to water down the conspiracy here and add some common sense to this thread. (I do believe there is intelligent life but I do not think it has ever visited Earth).

I posted this on the breaking news forum.
"Sounds similar to the Romanian mig21 that was hit by an unknown object (I know this was filmed on the gun camera and supposedly the Cardiff object wasn't picked up). Maybe this is a new stratagy, scare the hell out of the humans in their silly flying machines!!"
but in all seriousness why would "aliens" or the MOD want to draw attention to themselves by crashing there vehicle in to a police helicopter?
It's a question I find hard to answer.

This story will just be another bookmark like many others before it.

It's interesting how some poster mentioned about not being able to view the object with the infra-red and only with the naked eye.
If that bit of info is true I don't believe humans are capable of that just yet at least.

I'm sure everyone is aware of the Romanian Military released film of four ufos one making actuall contact with damage to the plane. It is time for other contries to follow the leader in this area. (pretty sure U.S. will be last). It would be monumental if some of the good representitives we have as Linda Howe, Jim Marrs, Steven Greer, Stephen Bassett, Stanton Friedmon and others I know I'm forgetting many.... were contacted by the media corporations to stay on top of this kind of information release and verify, verify. NO PICTURES on police chopper.....come on, I thought we were past that in the UK.
Our great Media outlets are in for a suprise when we get the internet talk radio channels up and running with TV quality video abilities. Kevin Smtih I'm sure you all know is very close. Good clear video on internet talk radio will have to be the way to confirm to our skeptic friends that who ever is in charge of TV news is in plain denial.

True the MOD does not care and has released it's files.
The reason the dont care is because they dont investigate ufo's - somebody else does.
Who really does is anybodys guess but you can bet you bottom dollar that all the M's have thier own files just for starters and those will never see the light of day.

If you acctually read the 20 page report BY the MOD I posted above they conclude that there IS something going on - but the cause is unknown , possibly natural.

There is a further article in the The Sun newspaper today following on from yesterdays article. I claims that the newspaper switchboard was bombarded with calls from readers who saw the UFO on the same night as the chopper drama in Cardiff. It goes on to say that experts have revealed that airline pilots have spotted hundreds of UFOs over the nearby Bristol channel this year.

If anyone wants to read the article I suggest you pop onto the Sun website.

I'd just like to make one point for logic:

Why would any experienced pilot let alone police pilot give chase to an apparently threatening aircraft, UFO or otherwise, in a helicopter that has absolutely no means of offence nor defence? What are they going to do, 'fly at' it to death?

I think I'd trust the comments of the BBC over a tabloid news paper, it doesn't take much to verify what the media say with a little exercise of logic.
