It's a secret skin masque made from Moose-Poo!

But I don't have any mooseseses near here, so I have to find ways to encourage people to send/throw/sling moose-poo to me in devious ways!

mwahahaa!

Sorry Night Star, was that a real critter?
I thought it might have been fake....it was awfully cute though!

It's hard to keep up with everything here....the conversation moves pretty fast sometimes!

I never understood why people kept Snakes, Lizards and Spiders as pets. It just has never made sense to me.
But I can get on all fours and play with my Dawg and Kat and have a great time.

I try doing that withe the previous three, and chances are that one of them will end up D...E...D. They're just not that friendly.

Turtles and frogs I guess are ok...but they just kind of sit there in one spot. You go to sleep at night and in the morning, they've moved...what? Four inches?

Serge, I think we have enough Legos to build a whole house, have at it sir! They really are the best toys ever.

I definitely am using them as an inspiration. I am designing an open source house! I am actually quite serious about it. I am approaching *everything* in a dwelling differently (HVAC, water, insulation, automation, security, insulation, generator blah). Every piece of technology is innovative and different from what is currently available. There will be several different wall structures to choose from, all designed to work together. The website will have an interactive program where you can design your own house, and then you have a couple of options:

1) DIY. Click the "Parts List" button for a list of the parts needed, estimated costs, and blueprints/code/etc. Remember, its open source.
2) Order pre-made structural components, but assembled by the buyer themselves. This costs a bit more, but the pieces are easily shipped, and our company can get great discounts because everything is designed around bulk buying, efficiency, and actually being green and sustainable.
3)Have everything done by the company. This would also include perks like more specific warranties (since we know it went together correctly), etc.

The pay model for the employees of the company will also be a completely different system than what is used elsewhere. In it, it uses math to keep track of the individuals who put the most real world effort into helping our products come to life. This would mean that a labor worker could earn as much, or more, than myself as the CEO. Thats not the only thing we are going to be doing differently, but I have already gone on about it enough!
Its just something that I get excited about, and it really is like "big boy lego's," its just all cutting edge stuff too! And that is just so totally cool to me!

Hey, maybe I designed "The Shed!" :O :O

Hi night star!
Thanks! I fell in love with it too, it fits my winter mood to a T.
Fort Anthem actually stuck it up on one of the avatar threads and let me use it! I have no technological talent myself, I can basically use the Internet.

I like your little panda! Furry bugs are cute.

( ppssstt, Gordi, I think the Boys have a bucketful over there)

Can you post a link?

I'm interested in how you are doing this house. I'm a log cabin fan, even though they are a pain to keep up and am looking into building a stone house. Is this possible with your tech?

Don't be so quick about that decision. Cute? Yes. But also deadly,

en.wikipedia.org...

They are known for their extremely painful stings, hence the common name cow killer or cow ant.

Gotta think about Tommy Boy.

A Sonnetificated reaction to Chapter 11

When in advance of featured function plans,
The land aside of time has come to life,
With women, dressing, dancing, holding hands,
Thus late again; untimely to arrive!

"What heels to don that cannot clash my frock,
And should thy bag be strapped or held in palm?"
With stockings to apply, and lips to blot;
Embrace with glee such hap'ly dwindled calm!

But nay complaint from men within their rooms,
Themselves be playful, posing, throwing 'things',
With ties and tophats set aside to groom,
Else baggy jeans and 'T's', or leopard skin.

As Rainbows share the skies with dragons song,
Our clan abuzzed await thy dinner gong.

Hahahaha! My turtle is always swimming around or sunning himself on his deck in the tank. I took him outside one summer in the yard figuring I could sit a while before he would go very far. That sucker took off and almost got lost under a bush. LOL I guess he was happy to be out in a new environment.

I no longer have my tree frog and yeah, they don't do much but sit there looking cute, but he sure was cool. It was grey but could change into an army green to blend in with his surroundings. I just loved that little frog.

Used to have crested gecko lizards too. They even layed eggs and had babies. Those little suckers are wicked fast right after birth. I was like holy crap! LOL

No link yet, I am still working on a lot of the interior technologies (which is actually the biggest part of the project). I also am not sure if I should share it on ATS, or if they would have an issue with that. We can exchange emails through U2U if you want though. I am just getting this off the ground after a lot of time spent in the design phase. I am about to start the construction of the first unit. Its been a tough road, with the state of my health and no income. But somehow, its working out!

All that said, most of the technology itself will technically be "backwards compatible" with any current dwelling, with some retro-fitting.

As far as "stone," what exactly are you speaking about? Kind of like a "flintstones" house?

Finishes, siding, things like that.. its all up to the buyer. The basic structure of the dwelling isnt too far removed from current designs. Its a wood frame reinforced with a metal skeleton. It is built to be light for cheaper transport, but more efficient as far as strength, insulation, and quality are concerned. Its also built with all the technologies in mind, so it can utilize them much more efficiently. The interior wall and finish and exterior wall and finish will be up to the buyer.

If you want to talk about it, feel free to send a U2U! I really dont want to violate some sort of rules or anything.
