I have something that's been bothering me for a long time now that I have to get off my chest.
This is NOT meant to enrage, or hurt feelings by any means, but intended to spark something again that seems to have burned out......
27 pages ago I wrote in another installment to The Shed. (page 338) It was mainly an addition to hopefully inspire some more additions and to be a Segway (sp?) for CC to tell Her story of finding The Shed. Not sure if She will ever write in, but after recieving NO feedback, in the form of others writing in again, I was left a bit ForeLorn...... It really has left a hole in me that I'm trying to fill in again with, something......
I didn't expect so much a pat on the back, as that has never been an intention, but wanted to maybe ReSpark the Flame of Storytelling. I love to Read! I have read hundreds of books, possibly thousands, in my life.
When I came upon The Shed, I loved the first installments, and following ones from Our Author Jacy! When installments started coming in from the cast of The Story, I was really Hooked even more so!!! I thought it was a Brilliant Concept and one that I had never experienced.
It saddens me, for Jacy as well, to see that it seems The Shed, Story, has ended?
I know real life is more important, and I have done my share of chit chat here, but wonder, what's to become of the most wonderful sharing of souls, in story form, ever to enter my, and possibly others' lives? I realize this is selfish of me to write all this but.......??????

I see I have a lot to catch up on. MY shenianiganorous (New Word! 5pts!) adventure has come to a close this weekend. And once again blessed the
property with my blood. It's become tradition I tell ya. One of these days I'll be out there doing nothing but relaxing in a chair by the pool,
drinking a beer and I'll just spontaneously start leaking blood from a arm or leg.
Didn't fix the Shed as the neighbors were gone for the weekend, but still more trees to do battle with and some of the other neighbors have also gotten into the swing of Spring clean-up so a massive bonfire is planned for later this month. We all got together and while some of us hacked and slashed, others tied the branches into bundles and drug them with the ATV's to where the bonfire will be. I recommended that he get a fire permit as the pile is HUGE and we're only about 1/2 done. Circumference of the pile at the moment is about 40ft, and about 10ft. high. With four other hlf the size piles nearby to throw in as time progresses.
We also installed this badboy in my buds garage.
It's a coalfired boiler to heat both the house and pool. He thinks it will save over eight grand a year. Still a bit more work before that project is finished, but he and a friend are familiar with needs to be done. I just do the worker bee stuff on that thing. Hopefully next weekend we can blow the end off his house...um, I mean fire it up and get it working.
Non-stop busy for the past day and a half and a good feeling of accomplishment over all.
Now it's time to catch up on the goings ons and relax a bit.

If memory serves me correct, you have to have "Writer" status in order to contribute to any collaborative writing contest. I've been giving it a go, but still no joy.

CC and Syx, your Mom's are looking down from heaven smiling and knowing they are loved and treasured. You will keep them alive in precious memories

For the most part, the "Shed Story" was the end product of the brilliant Jacy interpreting and compiling the goings on within the shed thread itself.
Including the incorporation of ideas from individual shed dweller's own "How I found The Shed" stories.
The individual stories have dried up a bit, as there haven't been too many new visitors lately and that IS a shame!
But we had hatched a cunning plan!!! Where Jacy would take the story up to the end of the Shed Valentines Party, at which point,
I would "Loop" the story into another adventure (which actually takes us back to the very first part of collaborative writing we did in a previous thread!)
Unfortunately, due to a combination of Real Life hassles and the near impossible task of keeping up with all that was going on in the Shed thread,
the story itself has indeed slipped a little bit of late!
I think it's quite possible, that people knew that the "loop" part was coming at the end of the party, and didn't want to tread on anyones toes, by taking the story off in another direction?
Anyway, behind the scenes, we have now managed to create a short chapter (with Jacy's kind blessing) which will round off the night of the party!
Leaving the way open to start the NEW LOOP STORY!!
(The Loop hasn't got a proper name yet!! but could possibly be called: "The Still Beating Heart!")
It has been suggested that we keep that part for the NEW Thread???? I think that's quite a good idea But am open to ideas/suggestions?
In saying that... I am very happy to post the wee Link chapter (which rounds off the valentines party) at any time...
As that is probably the "end" of the Party part of the shed story. (Rather than the start of the next part?)

Gordy Bud, Thanx for backing me on this and filling me in on the plans. As usual, my additions are of a nature usually dealing with outside activities of some in the Realm of The Shed. That way, I figure, I would not really lead off the main idea very far from original course.
I have thought however that maybe the name of the original should be up front, for those who may remember coming here and want to see what's new. Like, The Shed, The Still Beating Heart, for example. Know what I mean? That way if they do a search for The Shed, it will show up on the page of hits...... Just a thought from this addled mind. LOL!!!!
My last entry dealt with CC being harrased by Pixes, and leading her towards The Shed, and maybe some or all of us going on a Dragon Flight together to exercise the Dragons, and for Fun!......

My last task for today was trimming back a pine tree so my bud could remove the propane tank for the pool heater. Made pretty quick work of it and drug the branches off to the pile next door with the ATV.
When I came back, he handed me a beer and took a step back and said, "Dude, you're bleeding again."
"It's what I do." What else is there to say?
As for the Pixies, send them over to me...we have the same sense of humor...which can be overbearing and inappropriate at times. Habitual line crosser at your service.

Hi Night.... I visited another Castle today!
Wanna See? LOL
THIS IS Dean Castle in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
It is about 15 miles from where I live, and is set in the middle of a country park with great river walks, forest walks. cycle trails, kids play areas, childrens zoo/farm park, picnic areas etc. and there are great historical displays in the castle itself.
(I think I got a UFO in that last one?? LOL)
The Castle was the stronghold of the "Boyd" family and the original "keep" (tower) dates from around 1350!!!
It has walls which average around 8 feet thick!
The lands were given to the Boyds by non-other than Robert The Bruce!! following the famous victory at the Battle of Bannockburn.
The castle is now technically "owned" by the people of Kilmarnock! and access to it and all of it's associated attractions is COMPLETELY FREE!!! (It is maintained by the local council)
Lovely place to spend a day with the kids!
