Wow, that's a landmark to play in! Go Gordi.

It's so quiet in here.
I'm sitting listening to the lovely sound of the coffee maker brewing.
Not awake enough to start writing yet, so I'll just say 'good morning' to everybody for now.
*yawn*
Love you all,
jacy

I'll be along later with pictures of your Bureaubeastie!

I had a rather long, unexpected night, so feeling a little 'drab' myself. Hopefully the poached eggs I have just scoffed, a second brew and a couple of rollies should kick start me.

Hey Jane! *hug*
I'm excited to see the beast, lol...wish I could actually buy it from you!
(Love poached eggs!)
I hate that 'drab' feeling. Do whatever it takes to feel like your old self, hun.
I will be hanging around this morning, trying to work on the next part of our story. (It's making me wish I really was prepping for a party with all of you!!)

Hmph, my cup's empty....trotting back into the kitchen.

I think it's cabin fever setting in (amongst other things...LOL). It sucks all the energy out of ya. This sums it up nicely I do believe.

(Hat tip to baddmove)

I've been foggy headed all week with only small burst of imagination/energy.

G'morning TDawg!
Oh yeah, cabin fever BIG time!
We have had so many grey days...tons of snow, and freezing cold. Every morning I go look out the window, and my response is an "Ugh!" of disgust, lol.
Where in the world are you exactly??

Ohio, the North Shore, so we get a lot of lake effect. I love the changing seasons and all, but I think that I need to rethink my financial strategy so I can escape to warmer climes during March...and maybe the first two weeks of April. I've been thinking about buying a RV just for that reason. I haven't traveled in two years and I'm really itching to wander about the country again.

Ahh, okay. You are south of the lake, and I'm north of it...so we often get the same storms, lol.
I would love to rent an RV and just travel around. Friends did it a few years ago, and they really enjoyed it.
I'm afraid of flying (never done it), so driving is my preference.

Flying is a blast, if your the pilot. But the airlines these days might as well be cattle cars. Unless you have first class tickets, it is a miserable experience. The only way I will fly any distance these days is for a quick jaunt around the neighborhood for pleasure in a private plane or a absolute family emergency.

Besides, I like road trippin'.

So you are a pilot? Then I must sound like a real weenie to you, hehe?
I think it must be a control issue with me. When I'm behind the wheel...I know I'm responsible...and that comforts me, lol.
I guess then, I would agree that it must be better to fly, if you're the pilot.

I did cross the ocean on an ocean liner when I was a kid. That was a helluva experience, being completed surrounded by water for several days!

I'm good. I slept in late, woke up, fiddled about with my bass guitar through an amp for the first time in a while (I need ALL of the practice! I am so rusty my fingers squeak, and little bits of red oxide fly off the strings!
), and am chugging a cuppa, going to have a couple of cigs, and then I am going to shower, and think about leaving the house, and going to town.

I love a Sunday lay in!

Nope, not a private pilot anymore. It was very expensive, so I ended up letting my certs and license lapse. But I have always been a aviation buff (grew up as a USAF brat) and have friends who allow me to play whenever we go up. So much cheaper! All I have to do is pay for the fuel. Less expensive...but still freakin' expensive nonetheless! If I want that RV, I'll be doing a lot less flying.

I'm having a lazy Sunday morning, that's fine with me.

Us 'winter people' are starting to get fed up I think. The different seasons are nice, but they really screw with your life.
The summers are light until about 10 pm, so I love to sit outside in the evenings with a tea.
In the winter it's dark by 5 pm, so the evening feels endless.
You can tell it's starting to get to people around here...they're just blank-eyed, going through the motions.
Or maybe that's just me?

When you are feeling blank, and the snow is falling, step outside, breathe in and out slowly a bit, then use whatever mobile music playing gear you have, and play the Immigrant Song on it. While it plays outstretch your arms, face the wind, and loose yourself in the tune, the lyrics, imagine yourself at the head of a dragon boat, frozen mist and waves parting before you, as the beat of the drum carries you forward.

If there is not lightning in your eyes by the time you are done, I would be very surprised! When I do that I tend to come in, covered in snow, and grinning like a maniac. The high lasts, and lasts, and lasts.
