What ruins the games for me is knowing that all that money is spent on a bunch of elitist assholes and the poor and needy get it up the gigi every time

Very good point and I agree, we do however enjoy the Winter Olympics for our love of Hockey.
That said yep 500 Billion is a lot of money but what do some Nations spend on so called defense?
