I did a search on this and I could not find anyone who had posted it yet to my suprise. This was aired on CNN as one of their very first reports after CNN opened shop. There are some witnesses here that probably have not spoken since and are rarely talked about. I apologize if this was posted before but I could not find it using search. If someone wants to have a discussion about this old video then please post below.

I LOVE the Rendlesham story, and I believe those men.

However, I would suggest that you make your OP more substantive, to draw new posters into the story.

Not everyone has heard of this UFO case, and providing more details to paint a brief summary on the story, coupled with your opinions and views on it, would make for a GREAT op.

This has been posted a number of times and I was by no means the first person to add it.

But it is also included in my thread here :

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The stories of both Gerry Harris and Gordon Levitt (two civilians who witnessed the incidents) are included in the thread.

Specifically amongst the references for further research is a link to it:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

It's a long thread and been going for a couple of months so I'm surprised search didn't bring up anything!

i applaud your eagerness, but anyone into the subject who has'nt heard of this case must have their head up their behind..
i would suggest this is in the top 3 most famous cases after Roswell and maybe The Phoenix lights

And what a superior thread that is. Highly recommended.

Yay!

I love hearing more on the Rendlesham Incident, and It surprised me that CNN acutally had good journalism back then

Excellent, I actually have heard of it but didn't hear the record until now.

I do not think anyone should doubt it, in the thread 'Can we let it be' what can we let it be? The case DID happen and the people DID NOT see the Lighthouse as the only source of light, there were some unknown objects based on what is heard.

But this could still be any man-made UFO not alien, I do not see how this will ever be proven to be alien.

Considering the Orfordness lighthouse was always in the same spot, merrily beaming away it's light regularly for 221 years since the year 1792, it's a safe bet that anyone stationed on that base would have been able to recognise the light from the lighthouse after a couple of days...some of the witnesses had lived around that area and the lighthouse there for many, many years and the American staff on the base had been there for quite some time too.

So the 'lighthouse debunking attempt' is frankly a staggering thing to suggest and is obviously complete bunk, and indicative of either a stupid mind or clutching at straws in an attempted coverup by those who are determined to push it as an excuse for what was seen over those couple of nights.

I don't know what was seen, although those witnesses that have gone on record since are sure it wasn't manufactured 'here', at any rate, i am sure it could not have been the VERY familiar light from the centuries old lighthouse.

Thanks for sharing the link OP. I will take a look at the video in a bit. The Rendlesham Forest incident remains one of the most fascinating encounters to date and is still unexplained.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. Nice to see a such an in-depth, mature report. And to see how some of them are no longer blacked out Airman "G" etc anymore

Except that you can't see the lighthouse from the base itself. It's blocked by high ground, so you can only actually see the light from a fairly narrow area of the woods outside the base itself. Which, coincidentally (or not!), is also the exact same area of woods where the men were chasing the mysterious light.

It is an undisputed fact that at least two of the men (Burroughs and Cabansag) WERE fooled by the lighthouse, because their witness statements at the time (which I would suggest are far more reliable than the constantly shifting claims of more recent times) admit that they followed the light for a considerable distance before realising that they were chasing ... the lighthouse!

Great video, thanks for the link. Does anyone have a good link for various UFO cases and associated files, ie. radio recordings, videos, air traffic records, etc.
