Sometimes people might be deluded or misguided or temporarily experiencing psychological issues and as such shouldn't be making choices that affects their biology in such a irreversible way. Even if they are tested as 'sane' it might be a choice they wished they never made in the future.

Elves are a type of fey. But you are right. Elves are being denied the right to express themselves too. I demand protests.

Where is Asexual?

Sorry...missed this.

I think it might fit here:

Non-Binary Genders are gender identities that don't fit within the accepted binary of male and female. People can feel they are both, neither, or some mixture thereof. It might be easier to view gender as a 1-dimensional spectrum with male on one end, female on the other, and androgyne in the middle- but the reality is that gender is more complex, and 3-dimensional models with axes for male, female, and how strongly you feel attached to that gender identity have been suggested.

gender.wikia.com...

I think non-binary is on the list. I'd pick trysexual, but I don't think that's a gender....

Think of Sheldon Cooper off the big bang theory.

Remember that episode of Bones where a forensic anthropologist from Japan came over and they couldn't tell which gender the person was? It drove them nuts.

And remember Pat from SNL? That drove people nuts too.

It seems people have an either an inbred or inherent need to know someone's gender/ Maybe because they think it helps them figure out so much more. And maybe that's an issue too.

This confusions happen more often on the younger teens when their bodies and hormones are going through changes is often call the "formative years developing years,", what used to be a natural way of growing up, due to the diets, environment and other factors has turned for many young people into a struggle, no wonder we have soo many children taking anti depressants this days.

Anybody that have teens or had teens knows how difficult is during that time of their lives in this modern days, when I tried to remember my formative years I don't remember having problems but those of the growing pains and having my body transformed from a child to a young women.

This is becoming a dangerous trend and why so many teens are committing suicides. I don't believe that a gender label is going to help anybody.

You can feel different but the actions you make because of those feelings is a choice, as an adult, as a young person is open to scrutiny and something that needs to be carefully handle.

It is just normal to want to know peoples gender, it's genetically programmed for the purposes of evolution. I bet all those on the list secretly regard others on the list as their real genetic identity also. If a 'two spiriter' meets an 'androgyne' I bet they are thinking 'but he/ she is a girl /guy anyhow' otherwise how would they get it on.

People are essentially animal and driven by hormones and the procreative urge and those denying it are just being silly, it is inherent.

That said maybe a 'deviant' list is a good idea as many of those calling themselves such terms might well be psychologically challenged or denying procreation and evolution

They certainly don't need labels being thrown at them or the need for establishing some alternative sexual identity or preference.

Children should be allowed to be children and happy with the way they are, learning about life, their hormones, relationships and becoming adults, which can take a while.

Rampaging hormonal fluxes should be known as such, children should be properly educated with facts instead of disturbing labels on social media. Schools should be onto this and making sure children know they should be happy with their identity and there's no need for being 'different' in order for feeling acceptable.

I bet most of the people claiming themselves as alternative 'genders' on that list are more confused than those not giving themselves these labels.

I read that too, but with my conspirators mind I see it as a way to make excuses about how to create a new way to define gender, is quite simple, is not gender differentiation beside that of male and female in the biological spectrum, unless they want to change the scientific definition of gender that I believe is never going to happen what else could this serve a purpose, only for those that are pushing the issue of differentiation to fulfill their agendas.

In my opinion this is a problem, and is an example of what I have always called the nanny-state. The mindset I am talking about is the "everyone gets a medal" type. Political correctness has run rampant to the point of absurdity. People who constantly get their feelings hurt need to simply suck it up. But you know what I think? I think that there are many people who are using this paradigm shift to basically serve their interests.

Their feelings need not really be hurt, or they need not really feel discriminated against, but they know that if they claim as much, they can get revenge on somebody, sue somebody, etc...It is utterly ridiculous that things have gotten this bad. I am quite a liberal person, politically speaking, yet I cannot agree that such changes are progress. There are certain, more conservative, values that should not be altered. Self-reliance is a true virtue in many instances, and I believe that in some instances things are becoming so liberal as to be dangerous.

This doesn't mean I believe we shouldn't take care of people, social aid and whatnot, because as I said, I am quite liberal. But a line needs to be drawn, because too many people are using the political correctness card to get what they want. And more to the point of this thread, nature has given us two genders, male and female. Anyone who feels they do not fall within those lines, needs to realize that they can live their lives normally even if they must subscribe to one of these genders. It is about simplicity and common sense. This doesn't mean we are intolerant of these types of people. I could very well claim that they are the ones being intolerant. Like I said, some things just need to be sucked up, because they aren't that big of a deal.

If Facebook were truly serious, then they should have simply left that option blank and allowed the individual to fill in whatever gender they so desired to be classified.

That sounds like a decent plan. I would put in "Giraffe." Also, wow. They went a bit overboard, I think. I wasn't expecting that...

Wikipedia, you are my friend... what are some of these genders? I think I'm kind of Pansexual and Asexual. That just means that I treat all genders the same, but I'm not gay, you know.[ I'm just looking for friends.

Even as somebody with an open mind, I find this ridiculous.

I'm usually a follower of the rule that if it makes people happy and does not hurt anyone else, then it should be allowed to happen, but this is just silly.

I would chose the option, If there was a gender for multipul spirits dwelling in one body that would be the one i would pick.

But im more like shang tsung, Rather than having a thousand voices in my head I have my master soul which overseers the rest.

Sorry, but my gender is female and of the human race, how about that, that is what we are born, to be female of male, regardless of what you want to be after that.

Who told you what your gender was? The government? Society? Shouldn't you be allowed to make these decisions yourself?

Biology? If you are born a certain sex, then well you are that sex, it's science.. if you change it after that, it's not what you are born.. it's what you change it to.. (regardless of how that change is realized)
