As I sit here, head in hands
I can't help but feel sad
You aren't with me, you aren't here
Im alone, on this day of cheer
I go outside, to my car
I drive and try to find where you are
I go to the cemetery
Where I was last, weak and weary
With rose in hand, I walk so slow
To the place I was just hours ago
I kneel here with tears in my eyes
As I lower my head and start to cry
I take you home with me that night
Your body so limp and so light
I prop you up on a chair
And sit down for a night we share
I cook the meal, as you sit tight
I have in store a delightful night
I eat my food, and to the sink I walk
You however seem reluctant to talk
You fall over, off your seat
You now lay in front of my feet
I lift you up, with tired eyes
Full of energy, full of lies
I continue my life
With you in sight
erratic laughter
With my wife, so limp, so light
Happily ever after
