I doubt it, because what makes human constructions work well, is typically what takes them down.
In this case, our real innovation, is in optimization.
We have streamlined the political machines like we would a movie, court case, Medicine, and products in general.
We have created a more convinient society than anyone has ever seen. We have access to Twinkies, condoms, soda, coffee, gas, porn, TV 24 hours a
day.
We can't be expected to really follow the currents of politics. This mind-taxing activity takes much too long.
I do think that it has always been this way, but it seems to rise slowly but surely until to spikes near the end.
